For those of you who have both PLD and NIN at 75, and have seriously tanked on both, is there any certain fight you would rather be on NIN than PLD?

I've been a NIN tank for around 3 years, but leveling PLD now and wondering if there's a good reason to keep my NIN geared to tank.

Lik Hyriu said, its a matter of preference since you can tank with either.

I prefer Pld since I have more to work with and I like being able to spam cures for hate. Another thing that helps is that alot of my gear for Pld can be used for Drg & Drk whereas I don't have any other jobs to really use Nin gear on.

The only time I really use Nin anymore is for camping Ixion due to the movement speed and throwing skill.

This has probably been covered somewhere before, but it's a bitch to search for, so I'll ask here:

Today in Nyzul, I one-shotted a Wivre with a normal non-crit melee hit on my BLU. Unlike one-shotting Chigoes, we got both XP and drops from the mob. The message read "Sylvr Defeats the Wivre." (sorry, didn't think to get a SS). The only thing I can come up with is that my Beast Slayer did something nifty. Any experience/explanation for this? Is it something limited to Wivres or to Nyzul, or was it the weapon as we first suspected? Was it a glitch?

Random bug happening in Nyzul. Some mobs have only 1 HP. Wivres mobs usually, but I think I remember spiders being reported as well.
Too bad it does not happen often.

How hard are Ancient Beastcoins to gather for someone who doesn't do Limbus? I haven't checked Rolanmart in a month or so, so I'm not really sure who's selling.

It's not hard to get a small limbus group together, you'll make a lot of coins that way...

Salvage noob question: For Zhayolm 2F, when doing the deal where you trade a cell to pop the frog that drops several of that cell, can you do this more than once, or just once for one type of cell?

once, for up to 5(maybe 8? but then some would auto-sort) cells of the same kind.

you can still salvage a 6F by doing 5F S instead of 5F N, if you didn't kill 1F madame.

if you did kill 1F Madame, just do socket, slot, and 3F S.

We've had 3 runs before with TH3 where we've had either no virga or no undulatus.

Just downloaded ffxi calculator to save some time calculating dual wield TP return. But for some reason it lists 75job/nin base dual wield as 13% and 20job/nin dual wield as 9%. Yet BG and oldwiki list the values as 15%/10%. Now...are ffxi calc's #s correct or are the wiki's #s correct? And if ffxicalc is wrong is there a way to force a DW %? Thanks.

Head and Body for Drain/Aspir are nice, and maybe feet for max Elemental skill set.

Options are pretty low...farm Diorites/Waters...Expeditionary Force maybe? Though now you could just level sync a job you want merits on into a jungle party or some shit couldn't you?

if you still do sky; just remember to always bring signet with you to sky. it's pretty low but unless you're trying to farm up some 60k item and not just support a steady diet of exp bands for meriting it shouldn't be a problem.

otherwise, go do a level sync party in the 20-45 range.

I think supply quest can give decent amount even if you already have the OP I think maybe like 50~75, can only get supples once per game day though[does stack], enough to recharge bands but not items.
