I have done a little work on it just to prove that the pDIF was changed after the two-handed update.

I don't really know how to work backwards from the information I have to make a new pDIF formula, but I hope those two posts help a little.

I know two hander Pdif formula has changed because I've personally tested what the range is with capped fstr and cratio, and it's far higher than what it was pre-patch. I'd like to do some testing myself on some two hander weapons skills for various reasons, but I can't interpret my data if the cratio < 2.0 for two handers isn't known.

Not sure if it has happened before, but I would certainly call it feasable. With a lackluster Phalanx build and -44% DMG, she's never hit my RDM above double digits unless it was a crit.

Semi-related question, does Rampart's magic shield do anything for breath damage?

Ah, hmm, cuz I did it yesterday. I invited Ichthyos' THF at 1% to peg some TH4. I guess I was just wondering if that's some sort of accomplishment. I had some meds and max stoneskin, and within 1 DR of capped Phalanx for PLD.

im almost definite a video turned up on bg some time ago of a japanese taru with aegis(and possibly excal) soloing vivian /RDM. it was around about the same there was a craze for ice trousers and soloing ODS.

however that doesnt mean you accomplishing it is anything short of a great achievement, so well done!

The new crit cap definitely seems to be 3.0 * (random 1.0-1.05) for players: my max crit with unbroken Thyrsusstab on (otherwise) naked BRD/THF before the patch was 201=3*(52+15 fSTR). My max crit with broken Thyrsusstab on naked BRD/THF after the patch was 252=3*(65+15)*1.05.

I suspect that the pDIF graph remains the same as before, just with the extra 1.0-1.05 factor to mess with us and mask the 1.0 pDIF mode behavior so testing is harder. But I suppose it might still be that the level correction function is different for 2h weapons, so you get a higher cRatio for the same attack/defense.

Yeah, a Taru PLD called Kuick from Ragnarok made a video of his solo and put it on Stage6. Sadly, since Stage6 was taken down, I can't find it any more. Didn't look particularly difficult; PLD/RDM with Aegis/Koenig takes pretty pathetic damage from Vivian's individual hits. Of course, you'll need a lot of Refresh drinks and Remedies since she's going to be getting TP constantly - I think the only slightly hairy situation the PLD in question got into involved Bad Breath's Paralyze.

Which of the Nashira pieces are worthwhile for RDM, and under what circumstances?

Got my first free-lotted piece of Nashira (Turban... and my SMN has Gages), and before I start collecting the whole set, I'd like to know if they'll ever do anything for my RDM45 once it's leveled, or if they'll just decorate my mannequin.

Turban and Manteel are fantastic pieces for Drain/Aspir/Absorb-MND, and the Turban is also a nice piece for debuffing more difficult mobs prior to Crimson Mask/Duelist's Chapeau, I currently use it in my debuff accuracy set. The legs are a really great piece for Bind, Gravity, and Sleep, since accurately sticking those and keeping recast timers down are the most important with those...hands and feet aren't as useful, maybe feet if aiming for max Elemental skill.

I was wondering, would a full DEX set be good enough to use it for TP as well as WS (ie fulltime) on THF? I won't be able to get anywhere near the following, but this is doable for very active endgame THF:

skadi, enkidu, thunder, rajas
assassin, warwolf, enkidu, pahluwan
= 66 DEX
+ accuracy from other pieces you'd have enough ACC to eat meat

crit hit tier breaking would be pretty badass too, no?

Thank you for the benchmark. Looks like Hands and Feet will be for SMN, the other three will eventually go to RDM... guess I better start leveling RDM again.

iirc, yes. i seem to remember shell cutting the damage from the QQ TH (tight fisted little bastard. 2/way too blasted many) by a significant chunk. as a brd w/ no HP and no means to cure myself, having shell was a very nice bonus. ^^
