Yeah, I am just looking for a rough estimate, I know that it fSTR is rounded... just asking to basically create a rough guide for picking gear/stats.

there's a 17% penalty on WSC mods, so rather than say, 30%dex. it's .3*.87dex. which is about 26%. so a thumbnail approximation is FSTR=30%WSC.

No, I understand the a level correction on WSC mods, but why would STR be 30%? Or are you just basically applying the level correction as a multiplier on STR instead to get the 30%?

For my approximation, I am applying the .83 mod to the WS modifier. If that is the case could I then just use .25 for STR?

Just to clarify, I am suggesting using .25 STR to compare against .83*WS mod to determine which would net more damage on the same mob (so things like fSTR would remain static).

Direct parse works, you just need to change the memlock number to MEMLOC=0x576D58 in the DvsConf file, or see the the thread in advanced for K-parse.

I haste myself on Whm, typically before hasting others in my party, if only to reduce the delay between each haste and (in a pt where I'm hasting all 5 other members) getting all the spells up faster overall. It also helps when casting things like Regen and Stoneskin rather frequently, and tier IV and V cures to a degree.

As far as when to start, as long as you can afford the 40 MP to haste yourself along with the other members of your pt that are going to need it, then go for it. If you're in exp, and in a group where your MP is being used rather quickly (and/or possibly no refresh), and you're only able to haste one or two party members, then I'd spend the MP on a Nin or DD, so that fights would end marginally faster. If you can keep a full haste cycle going and still have the MP to cure/enfeeble/do whatever you're doing, then by all means Haste yourself. An added benefit to this is knowing that much sooner when the party's hastes are about to wear off (if not using Yarnball or some similar windower plugin). At least if you lose track of time and it wears off on yourself, you're not lowering the DPS of the DDs or survivability of the tank (by much). If you're ever unsure whether or not your party has haste, you can always check for the icon on your own status bar.

Also seems rather obvious, but a Whm/Nin is gonna want to keep themselves hasted full-time, lol.

I haste myself for meripos and occasionally in situations where I will be spamming ~na's. I also macro in haste gear for haste/erase etc.

In meripo it helps to keep the haste cycle running if you don't use windower plugins and to cut down the amount of time the haste cycle takes up. Never had an issue with MP using it in this way.

I always Haste myself on WHM to bring down the recast times of Erase, Blindna, Cursna, Raise III, Cure V, Repose and so on.
