Would the conserve mp+5 from the earring be good to go with Goliard Siao for stuff like Refresh, Haste, Cures, etc? I'm 69 RDM, career SAM, don't know much about this magic mumbo jumbo.

Also, would Communion/Omniscient earrings be worth getting?

Goliard Saio is arguably the best piece for refresh and haste along with duelist's tabard, and it is the best piece for cures. Communion earrings are overpriced, but if you already have all the other macro gear you need they're still the best option for slow/paralyze usually. Omniscient are trash, loq+enfeebling for int based debuffs and moldy+elemental for nukes(unless you have access to novio, but i'd assume a career sam just finishing RDM wouldn't already have one).

I want to solo on my 49PLD to bring my shield skill up a bit (19 points behind cap... level sync :/). Since I cannot obviously nuke stuff, what'd be the best target for me?

Still haven't unlocked DNC, which I assume is a factor in melee soloing.

Just add "Level Sync: No Thanks" or "Level Sync: - 3 levels max." to your seacom for a while and level it in a party. -19 Sheild Skill is a disadvantage, but shouldn't make or break you as it won't take you long to cap it again.

If you sync to a, lets say, level 46-47 party you'll start gaining skill ups and almost completely eliminate the low shield skill disadvantage.

Unless you've got capped accuracy on said mob, yes, loading on racc is a good idea. You may want to TP in AF1(+1 if you have it) or Optical Hat(shouldn't be too difficult to obtain even without an endgame shell) instead of Wyvern Helm.

Yea, I already have an OHat. Wasn't sure if I should be TPing in that. Looked through a few RNG gear shots, and no one TP'd in OHat once they hit 75.

Optical hat doesn't look good and that's what turns people off generally. I TP in AF+1 and you should probably consider that once you are confident with your racc(gear, merit, etc. 95% accuracy doesn't come without those).

Simply avoid TPing in Wyvern Helm/Flame Ring, etc. They are good WS pieces, and that's it.

Got PUP to endgame. Total bust. Lolpup stigma is strong indeed.

Currently leveling blu. Willing to use just about anything. I'd like to avoid SAM if just because its overdone. Same with BRD. Also not interested in mages past blu (Which I currently have to 50 and stopped to get spells.) or smn. The rest is pretty much fair game.

Is there any way to have the Castle Zvahl Goblin cancel the current relic quest activated? I gave him a Lance and an Orichalcum Ingot a long time ago when I thought I wouldn't mind fishing Devil Mantas for a year or two.
Turns out I was wrong, but I don't really want to give him four jadeshells if I ever want to do another relic.

I heard someone on my vent server say that if you have someone matching your entry floor on thier disc when you enter nyzul, doing a climb up the 5, it will set both your discs to that level. Did he hear right or just making it ups :3?

He's correct, they patched nyzul so everyone gets progress recorded if they go in order. You do need to make sure everyone gets a runic disc from the rune of transfer on floor 1 though, else they have nothing to record progress on.

So does this mean to qualify for, lets say the 500 ws points for the new WS, you could find somebody with a 90 clear, do 90-95 and I, who has never done nyzul, would now only have to do that 500? I realize I over use commas.

Goliard for Curing Haste & Refresh is great as you say here, though Duelist Tabard works aswell for Haste / Refresh and whatever buff you dont need to add any specific stats for.
If you can afford Communion earrings (or 1) its totally worth getting in my opinion, same if you can afford Omniscient, but not as good.
I personally have Abysall (choosen for DRK & BLM back in the days) and Moldy for RDM nukes and dont own Omniscient. Either way, choose the INT earring as one of your last priorities.

Has anyone (VZX /nudge ^^) conducted conclusive tests regarding Rapid Shot/Snapshot DoT gear vs Standard Ranger TP gear that considers the implementation of the final two snapshot merit inceases?

I did some searching around the BG forums as well as a few others, and what i've taken from the research so far is that:

(Most of this stuff comes from older posts i found, many of which were made by VZX; and largely post RNG repatch)

1) Rapid Shot has a very good chance of processing but the amount of time it reduces from the shot can vary; It may reduce the shot's delay by half.
2) VZX states that meriting snapshot may be moot because the delay at the end of the shot called period of "free" time while waiting to shoot again is not affected by this trait and that this is the biggest factor in limiting our DoT.
3) On another forum(perhaps alla, not sure), pre all the newish rng updates it was stated that wearing gear that enhances rapid shot, particularly af2 body, wasn't worth it in terms of DoT and possibly yeilded lower results or equal to other equipment choices for the slots.

I'm basically just looking for some clarity here on the above mentioned posts. I have access to most of the enhances "snapshot/rapid shot" gear available, i think the only peice i'm missing is the new helm from WoTG SCNM (why, oh why did it have to be the barbut Q_Q) those being: RNG AF2 Body, AF/AF+1 Hat, 5/5 Rapid and Snapshot merits.... and for the sake of mentioning it: Jalzahn's Ring but i'd rather not include that due to its situational nature. So if i'm the one that must do the testing then i have no problem doing that but i'd look forward to some insight as to how to go about getting the most accurate results ^^.

I think it would be unrealistic to hope by wearing such gear and using merits in this way, rangers could produce comparable DoT to other melee jobs, but i'm hoping we could see a boost in our overall performance and get some use out of af2 body ^^; also, it wouldn't it be nice if we were given enmity decreases in some manner so that when we hopefully do all this extra Dot, we hopefully dont pull so much hate and therefore remain victims of pissy melee's with lost TP or tanks?
