The term "converting pets" for Beastmaster. I'm unclear as to what it means, does it mean charm a pet, take it away, release it, and hope it pops a different con?
Edit: Particularly in reference to the 61 brd camp in mire
EM pets are ideal as they're fairly reliable to charm, have long enough charm duration to not want to eat you mid battle, and don't nerf your XP as opposed to Ts. converting pets is exactly as you said. depop them and repop them to try to get a field of EMs or thereabouts to play with. some camps this is critical if there's a wide swing on mob levels. others, such as my favorite camp in chasm w/ scorps vs lizards, with only 2 lvls the scorps can pop at, EM or DC or even 1 lvl T, it's not a big deal. just keep chucking them at mobs and it's all good.
If you can then I'm pissed because multiple times I've gone back to Sandy to pick some up for friends who just got their Yovras, then went all the way back to Tav to hand them to them, lol.
I was honestly too busy getting completely annihilated my last attempt at tanking Sarameya to take a good look at melee damage was like. I suppose the failure could have been in part by having only one tank, but getting shadows up was incredibly difficult for most of the fight. Given the extremely fast nature of its attacks, is blood-tanking the better option?
Thanks.
Yes. Go full turtle most of the time, any of the usual non-/nin subs work decently, and macro in fire resist whenever you see a spell / gates coming your way.
nvm got it ;3
If you want to see if physical blu spells use PDIF, cast a few of the same spell, use frightful roar/acid bolt/some other defense down, then cast a few more.
Most blu spells have naturally low attack (although I know VZX thinks certain spells have higher attack, as well as some spells have an attack CA mod instead of FTP). Which makes sense, since there isn't any real atk+ equip for blu magic (except def for Cannonball). I wouldn't be surprised if attack was just strictly based on blu skill, similar formula to how naked melee attack is calculated.
Most blu spell damage comes from base damage--the uncapped spells (60+) can get up to D71 with merits + Magus body + Mirage head I think. Combined with high WSC mods (doubled during chain affinity).
Which is also why non-SA spells aren't impressive on HNMs, IMO.
So raising the attack with the crit from SA can potentially provide a huge boost, letting you get more out of the very high base damage.
But really the main reason to /thf is to havely high average CA spell damage compared to other melees WS average/totals.

Eldieme Necropolis: How does one get to the area behind Shiva's Gate when it's locked? I am the only person in zone and have no idea how to open it.
(The switch is in the alcove in the middle)
Bring a friend, have them open it for you
Otherwise? Pos hack
Update data mining question :
Of all the new equipment that appears when data mining an update, is the content always introduced directly in the game, or can it be "stored" in the *.dat for later use ?
It's mainly about the Mamool Ja Collar, the one with RR3 as an enchantment, so far I don't think it was found anywhere.
King's Justice question. I've basically just been using my Raging Rush set and swapping a Soil Gorget in place of Aqua. Considering my gear what would be better to use, I'll list the gear I've been using first and alternative pieces I can use after. Any alternative gear answers are appreciated but keep in mind I can't (read don't) do Salvage or have access to Kings outside of Einherjar.
Weapon: Perdu Voulge
Grip: Pole Grip
Ammo: Fire Bomblet
Head: Adaman Celata alt: Ohat
Neck: Soil Gorget alt:Fortitude Torque
Ear1: Brutal Earring
Ear2: Assault Earring alt: Triumph
Body: Haubergeon +1 alt: Hecatomb Harness, Kirin's Osode
Hands: Hecatomb Gloves alt: Alky's
Ring1: Rajas Ring
Ring2: Ulthalam's Ring alt: Flame
Back: Forager's Mantle
Waist: Warrior's Stone alt: Warwolf Belt
Legs: Byakko's Haidate alt: Warrior's Cuisses
Feet: Hecatomb Leggings
I've been hearing it'd be better to stack up on str for KJ but I'd like an actual answer since I've just been using the RR set basically. Any help is appreciated.
BLM Question in Dynamis:
Can / Have you ever 1 shotted a statue? I'm guessing Orc and Quadav ones are easiest to damage but have you ever done it? If so what conditions?
I'd go with Ohat, Soil, Triumph, Nbody, Nhands, Flame, War stone, War cuisses.
I might say go with Haidate after Nhead cause you drop like 7 Acc from the change, and Ohat + War cuisses is 10 Acc 5 Str, Nhead + Haidate is 11 Str 15~ Acc.
I'll be KJing in Haidate til I get Aurum or Ares, or Hachiryu cause they're so goddamn sexy.
