Doing my first Odin tomorrow on RNG, and I don't use my RNG much for end-game yet, so is there anything I should know? I have no Archery merits, but I have decent gear. Should I use meat or sushi? Is Sidedwinder going to miss all the time? Positioning? Anything else I should know?

I'm almost positive that "full weather effects" from obis include the negative effects from opposing day. So using Rairin Obi on Earthsday+Thunderstorm the effects would cancel out.

If you want to test to be sure just use Korin Obi and do some cures in dynamis or apollyon.

weather+day that are opposing w/ obi will probably produce a -1% effect on damage. 1.1*0.9=.99 so unless it adds the totals before multiplying them, you'll actually be losing out i suspect.

How do I open a .dat? This is similiar to what Emiko/Brandson do with the de/buff icons. What do I need to use/do to open a multy image .dat and extract/replace the images within.

Sorry, I posted that before work this morning and finally got home and had a chance to post. The problem with Ob is that most people try to fight him while he is on the Harlequin Frame (the mod he's on when he's popped). That frame has insane defense, attack, access to Magic Mortar (which WILL one shot people and is also not absorbed by shadows), and also extremely high Magic Defense.

The Sharpshot Frame (RNG mode) loses the huge physical defense bonus, loses access to Magic Mortar, and also loses the magic defense bonus.

Best analogy I can give is; would you rather fight a roid-raging Aegis PLD with permanent Phalanx who can one-shot you at will, or a blind RNG with the defense of a wet paper bag?

Would this work with someone going /pup?

Yes, with PUP main, all you need is 2 Wind Maneuvers up before you pop Ob to have him pop in the RNG form. /PUP will need to have 3 Wind Maneuvers up before popping. Just make sure that whoever is PUP or /PUP does NOT Overload before you pop Ob; cause then you're fucked.


Posting this reminds me of the first time my ZNM shell met. We were gathering at the Ob pop waiting for our token PUP to arrive when a certain spanish HNM linkshell ran into the Ob room and popped him without asking us if we minded them popping one (since we were waiting for people). Ob pops on the Harlequin Frame (because hnmls don't have PUPs in them obviously) and their 18 man alliance proceed to get their butt handed to them. People are getting one shotted left and right from Magic Mortar, and they take 20 minutes to kill Ob. 3 minutes pass and the ??? repops. We pop an Ob, switch it to the Sharpshot frame and TP burn it down in 30-40 seconds with no deaths while the HNM linkshell just stares at us while they are still raising their dead.

Long story short, can't you delete the character and restore it, pretty much doing the same thing?

No, the gnoles' levels there are too low, and they don't stand on their hind legs to use Asuran Claws.

You will need to kill the Lobisons in Jugner [S] at E-6 to F-6/7 or somewhere in La Vaule [S].

I'm not sure about mods but most i can remember doing was 100-150 that's with apollo's and curing set

Not a WHM, but couldn't Healing Magic Skill have an affect? (most likely on amount resisted)

These were great for the actual skillups, but I just wanted to say you might want to bring a healer 2box or something, I did it solo as PLD/RDM but it was kind of a chore, for something that swings so often these hit like fucking trucks.
