Been a while since I've solo'd Imps but it's really nothing to worry about.

Frenetic Rip
Hysteric Barrage
Actinic Burst + Plasma Charge (Auto-Refresh)
Zephyr Mantle + Chaotic Eye (Conserve MP)
Refueling
Magic Fruit
Metallic Body (mainly for resting while DoT'd with stupid crap like poison... obviously could equip Exuviation for things like Shock, but it's easier to fit in Metallic Body)
Cocoon
Clear Mind if you've got room, or +STR spells if you'd prefer

I just Head Butt after every spell and the Imp typically dies after a round of the "Big 3," sometimes another Disseverment is needed. Of course you'll occasionally get the imps controlled by a GM, the ones that PoisongaII right after your :Ni and manage to evade that one Head Butt during ThundagaII, but generally they don't pose much of a threat.

Other suggestions would be to keep Sheep Song on if you're lazy like me and prone to the occasional aggro. Also, I grew to love Magic Hammer with a MND build. I aimed to cast Magic Hammer at 2-3% HP so I could switch to Apollo's Staff and kill the imp with it. It actually gives quite a nice MP return. A friend liked to start off with Sprout Smack for an easy, low-cost slow (I was too lazy for this, but it makes sense). Bludgeon is still decent damage for MP spent on them due to their (lack of) defense. Can also use Frypan or Temporal Shift if you'd like more of a safety net, although I just used Actinic Burst.

Very solid advice, thanks. Didn't go with the whole sheep song/magic hammer/sprout smack(wanted to add this, but kept forgetting and not caring so much lol) route and I was actually surprised with how fast they went down. Never really get to merit on BLU anymore, but it's probably my favorite job hands down.

Unless someone wanna generate 100+ vidcaps with fraps per scenario.

I just know it isn't a specific amount of delay reduction from my old ranged delay testing.

Lets say your lving thf and you are currently 0/27 on bounding boots. You got gil but you don't want to spend it all on your 45thf. Would you rather buy leaping boots or bravo subligar?

I know hornet needle is a great dagger for its lv but how important is it? Would it be a bad idea to skip. I'm currently going on 4hrs w/o seeing a pop item for the nm.

I only use my nin for solo/duo/low-man stuff, where I'll have at most one brd and generally no cor. Given that, any point in getting af+1 hands for WS, if I already have o. kotes?

Bst can solo Raparee pretty easily with a 2hred Slime, and even with normal pets in some spots I believe.

Fuck lizzy, I'd buy the boots before I ever set foot in that camp again, 0/30+, I'd rather get the bravo to go with Swift+Raparee, 10% Haste is the magic number where I start gearing for it.

Hornet pop item is a hard drop? I just killed random bees that aggroed my friend while getting his Sam AF and we got two of them, and it's a pretty nice offhand for a while.

AF+1 hands for WS if you have minuets/zerk up, should beat kotes.

I'm 0/3 on Lizzy this morning. Hornet needle pop item is on like a 7% drop rate. I'm gonna try again later for needle with a thf friend for th4. Does the nin need to be well geared to take on the formor ?

Capped Ninjutsu, know when to turn around and nuke without feeding TP, get signet, bring tools, some Eva gear just makes it easier, some haste makes it cake.

NIN/DNC for the Fomor THFs is the winner even with Carnal Nightmare resetting TP occasionally. Soloed like 12 RNGs and 5 THFs for my Rapparee.
