What exactly does Healing Magic Skill do in regards to Cure strength? I usually cure in AF2body/AF1+1 legs for the Healing+20/MND+5, but would it be better to use Errant body/Mahatma legs for the bigger MND boost(in terms of Cure4)?

gaxe still better than axe/joy no matter the sub lol

just finished toau fights, and I....I can't decide...
balrahn's for brd, or ulthalam for war. also have pld75 but cant see myself using either on that unless im farming or maybe trying to land debuffs pld/rdm. if i level any other job to 75 it will be drk or thf, maybe both but probably no other mage job. so, which would you pick?![]()
if you don't do salvage/assault very regularly I'd probably go with the melee one, but then again I'm no melee so I don't really know how useful it is. Balrahn's is pretty lame without the assault effects.
Regarding your bolded bit there Sept, that is about Great axe, which literally gives free accuracy and attack, and now has a great WS between Sturmwind and Steel Cyclone, so it doesn't suffer during the Rampage > Jesus period like it used too.
The subs depends on party natch, I used /Nin a lot, but still used Gaxe cause I just preferred it.

And I hope you mean cure V not cure IV. Healing magic will push your cures up a bit but MND more. However on everything except Cure V, you're going to be hitting a point where it takes so much to push your cures higher that it's not worth it. They're soft capped. Cure V isn't capped.
I did a bunch of healing magic/mnd testing and posted it ages ago just to have the numbers and if you dig around on KI and Alla you'll find it. But what you want more than anything is a nobles. For now though, cure in blessed/errant/mahatma.
Are there any BCNMs I can solo or duo for Utsusemi: Ni?
WHM AF legs and AF2 body give neither Healing Magic nor MND. He's talking about RDM.Originally Posted by Eldelphia
For RDM I tend to do Cure III in whatever gear I was wearing for the last spell, and Apollo's Staff. I switch most slots to -enmity for Cure IV, which in the case of Penitent's Rope, Mahatma feet and legs is the same thing as MND. As I'm currently lacking a Duelist's Tabard I can't comment on its effects on cures, but it'd certainly be something to use in "ohshit must cure or you die" situations. Warlock's Tights +1 might increase the amount cured, but in my opinion it's not worth the increased enmity from not using Mahatma/Goliard/lolJet. To be honest when I'm curing on RDM it's either in merit parties or emergencies, where the speed of cures takes precedence over the amount cured, so I'm not really much help.
for BLU/THF Cannonball setup is it better to use perdu hanger or ifrit blade?
I looked through the list and surely don't think many of them could be duoed (none soloed). There were a couple duoable by DRG/WHM but they have horrid drops otherwise.Originally Posted by Noobta
I would try Under Observation with 3, the chance of getting a charm will get you more helpers :D
I think the answer to this should be obvious, but if you're meleeing, use the perdu, if you're exclusively casting and not swinging, use ifrit's, or one of the hq str/vit+3 swords.Originally Posted by SamanosukeShiva

Yeah, you could do Royal Jelly with 2 DRG/WHM I believe but what's the point? I've wasted so many seals on mana rings, rather save up for something more likely to put out.Originally Posted by Raineer

Just do YOYD minus the PCC. No different than if you solod a BC, except it takes a bit more time to gather people, and you have a shot at the gil from the PCC, which would more than pay for your uts:ni anyway.

So Kclub Merc Kris and Rune Chopper are really good DRK zerh weapons, how come fort axe isn't? Or is it
9% Haste, 88 Dmg, 5 Acc
0% Haste, 64 Dmg, Occasionally attacks once, or three times if you have DA.
Base Damage, the scaling effects of haste, the acc, not having to give up ammo slot.
If you could hit haste cap with a Fort Axe, it would be interesting to see how it stacks up.
