I would assume yes since you are placed in the hate table of the mob in question assuming the BLM has done something to the mob before Acc / Coll is used. If you are looking for a conclusive test, go out to La Theine / Konstacht and hunt rams for an hour with a THF friend and see as the number of skins / horns dropped is vastly amplified by TH in my experience. The ones in La Theine would particularly be interesting b/c of the EX Lanolin possible drop.

Only downside would be the 10 minute repop time, upside is some actual monetary gains.

I just leveled /drg for SAM recently and I'm working on gearsets. My current /drg build for messing around on weaker stuff is here. After going out and playing with some colibri I remembered that I'm now 1 Store TP short of a 6-hit build. With my other sets, I usually get the 1 stp from brutal. I don't really want to drop a haste slot for stp (Hachi boots/hands) and I don't have items like Usukane boots or White tathlam. I know Soboro will often go over 100tp exactly, but in the short time I was messing around, I hit 99 at least 3 times.

What do you think my best bet would be?

Oh, and should I gear swap at all on Jumps? I wasn't sure if it would be worth it considering they have the same accuracy as a normal swing and if I happened to swing before it swapped back to TP gear I'd lose the haste.

Use Brutal over Bushi, and if you have the gear for it you should try to swap for Jump.

Sorry, was in a rush to catch my bus and didn't see that your build was Soboro only. Since it's for messing around on weaker stuff I'll second blue's suggestion. The ring's pretty cheap, too.

No, the THF actually needs to do something to the mob. Any action that would claim it will do.

Atonement gives the mob 20tp if I recall correctly, because of the two hit magic damage nature of the WS. It wasn't that mobs were being forced to WS, it was just that 20tp is alot, and it would many times push mobs over the 100tp they needed to WS, and they would.

In addition, I don't know for sure, but the 700+ damage spike might make it worse too. I'm really not sure how mob AI handles things like that.

Knocking big percent chunks off of mob life seems to trigger behaviors like WS/Cure/Sleep/Flash/Nuke pretty regularly.

I know when I whack a goblin leecher in the dunes and leave him at like 5% HP after one hit, 9/10 times they start casting a cure spell it seems.

Mobs also seem to sit on less TP as they get lower in HP, so knocking it from 76% > 75% might not have had it at the 76% "WSNOW" TP amount, but puts it over the 75% "WSNOW" TP.

Nah, mobs AI are on a set timer, i.e. "Cast a spell every 13 seconds." Mage mobs cast a spell once aggro'd, you're just aggroing them with a huge punch to the face so their first spell is a cure.

Well, I more meant to say that knocking them into certain percentages of their life, but lost my train of thought.

Like the other day when I randomly aggroed a T Pld Quadav on Pld, so I decided to have a grudge match. Pld vs Pld!

It was fine because I was /Dnc, a bit slow though, but once it got under like 20% it just spammed Cure III every time it's spell AI came up, finally had to ditch him because the bastard ran me dry on patience with that shit.
