You mean the elemental resistances on the staves? It's 15 on NQ and 20 on HQ. I was unaware of any MDB or MDT- on elemental staves.

There is some kind of damage cut against the element it is strong against. I will have to test it out.

5 Cure Cast, 5 Bars
1 Prot, 1 Shell, 5 Devo, 3 Mrt
4 Prot, 4 Shell, 1 Devo, 1 Mrt

For category 2 I would go 4 in shellra 1 in protectra and 5 in devotion. Multiple merits in protectra don't really help from what I've heard, and having a 10 minute timer on devotion rocks. Extra mdt - or whatever from shellra helps with tanking magic using things (unless if you roll with aegis plds, then I think they only need lvl 3 shellra 5. In that case it would depend on how often you buffed non aegis plds) plus I've never seen a need for martyr (you're better off being able to feed another healer mp sooner than to have a free cure 4).

edit: but yeah for category 1 cure cast 5 and bar spells 5

I thought the Cure Cast time testing showed that, since the casting time is tiered, you only needed 2 merits in Cure Casting to cap it? (Assuming Light Arts and Cure Clogs) I think for /BLM you need all 5 merits though.

Whats a good path to go weapon-wise for a THF/NIN 28 to 37?

I have Nadrs/Federation Knife now, should I switch the Nadrs for a Mithran Scimitar? Im guessing I should for the dex and damage.

Unless things drastically changed since I lvld THF long ago, /MNK and H2H is better than /NIN and dagger/sword to 33, but as far as specific weapons *shrug*

This. I used something > republic knuckles > impact knuckles. This is assuming that you will have capped dagger once you hit 33 already.

Say I started Ranger Af completed the hands but thats as far as I got. Then I went and did Drg hands Can I then go back and Complete the two remaining Rng coffers or Do I have to start from scratch?

Once you've started the hands quest, you can hop around and pick and choose for coffers. The only requisite for getting AF from a coffer is starting the af2 quest, getting a key, and opening the coffer whilst being on that job. So long as you'd gotten the Hunter's Beret quest done, you could get the remaining coffers at leisure.
