For Sorc Ring, I'm just trying to flip out prism cape and then reequip it, not necessarily replace it with another item. Is there a macro to simply take it off?

That will remove any back armour you have equipped. There's another thread that said something about back armour not effecting Sorcerer's Ring though, so check that out.

to clarify, it was tested that if you had a +hp piece on your back slot, it would not affect the max HP figure the ring checked against. the way i put it is not much more clear, but let me give an example.

assume you have 920 hp normally. no convert hp>mp gear or anything to complicate the calculation. if you have 750 HP remaining, the ring would not activate, not being under 75% HP. by adding the gigant mantle and taking your HP to 1000, logically it SHOULD trigger after putting on the mantle. it has been experimentally demonstrated that this effect does not happen. this is frustrating as by not counting the prism cape's +10 hp, it requires your hp to be 2-3 points lower than if it were counted properly, but that's just the breaks i guess.

the reason the prior poster asked i'm sure was he wanted to remove any +hp gears he had on for his -hp macro as wearing +hp gears while trying to lower his max hp would rather defeat the purpose.

Exactly. I needed 244.5 HP to get down from 75% of my 978 Max. I was at 235, and didn't feel like uncursing Zenith Legs, so i simply flashed off prism cape to get that extra 10.

I imagine aura's resist like a bitch, and coli's are known for being bitchy to mages.

Since ToAU came out until just a few hours ago, I've had my home point set in Al Zhabi. I accidentally changed my HP to somewhere else and am completely heartbroken from losing it. Has anyone ever had luck convincing a GM to modify their HP?

As for Flash, if your divine skill is really nubbins then mobs will resist. Pots, eyes, soulflayers and anything else with a magic shield TP move can resist Flash regardless of skill while the shield is active.

It's not for being able to get to AU, it was just neat to have a HP that no longer can be set.
