What's an average coin haul in Dyna-SanD with a low man setup? Assume:

    A) ~15 people
    B) Melee setup plus necessary support
    C) Said melee are well-equipped and generally competent

In terms of profitability, I feel like this could be viable. Assuming a low-ball estimate of 200 bronzepieces at 11,000 per, you're looking at a net gain of 1.7 million (113,000 a person). That's not very good for 2-3 hours, but you toss a few m-pieces in there and things get somewhat interesting.

Bronzepiece market on Sylph is spiking, as I'm sure it is on other servers.

Hauby +1 or Hagun? Outside of HNM/Salvage (no interest/lack of time) I'm comfortable with my Sam, I dinged 72 and would essentially need to pawn off the Hauby +1 to get the Hagun because I'd rather not survive on 5k~ to my name.

Hagun, unless you have other jobs you -need- the Haub+1 for. Just get a stupid Domaru for WS, NQ Haub for TP.

Have Osode, War's usually my main, but I've enjoyed Sam a lot more.

War aside, sell osode, buy domaru, keep Haub+1. Heh.

In any case, Hagun > Haub +1

If it's Mamools a lot of people are getting into Marinara Pizza, it's a bit of acc and a bit of attack, not enormous amounts of either, but it's not bad at all.

Thats alot better than the Coeurl Sub I've been using in the past on Mamools. What about birds in terms in cheap/dispensable food? Anything new in that sector?

if sam is your only haubergeon job; this. Haub+1 is definitely luxury for sam compared to the other things that ~3mil buys you.

that said, you've got war so unless you also have an ebody or something..

Eh, there's Crab Sushi now, which is typically similar in cost to Meat Mithkas (1 VIT, 10 DEF, 13% ACC). Probably not something for SAM/WAR, but it's a newer "disposable" food.

Should i really keep my Blau for my thf?

Only time I'm on thf anymore is for th4 whore-ness, X's/thf knife is what I'm always using. I haven't actually used my Blau in months. For the rare times I come thf to nyz, I can use sirico offhand till boss floors and not make that much of a difference on the DC-EM mobs we face on the way up. I could use the gil on other jobs much more than the 4 times a year I decide to merit on thf and need Blau.

That being said, how big of a difference is x's/blau vs x's/sk. Capped dagger, capped triple, 21% haste tp set.

And following that, a Sam's WS damage should be anywhere from ~60-75% of their total damage, as opposed to a job like a monk with much much higher auto-swing damage.

is true, but that's not the sole reason (if 3% crit in tp was better than a straight 2% DA we'd still use crit over DA)

the reason 3% crit isn't good for sam is because 2% DA is a little less than 2% more damage overall, while 3% crit is really only about 1.5% more damage overall.

if it were 4% crit then they would be about equivalent.

note that for some setups, -3% delay is actually the best choice, although with sam this is generally avoided because of the adverse effect on store tp and 6-hit setups.

*and I've never seen a parse where a sam was doing 75% of their total damage in WS excluding unusual corner cases like JoL...

With fighter's roll, it gets very very close to that. Without, it's closer to 65-70.

Are there any parse proofs or tests done on the crit+3% strap to show if it's a direct +3% added onto your parsed melee crit rate?

Added to that is if there's any tests that the 3% works on ranged attacks as well.
