Was there some super secret discovered about Maneater over the weekend?

Check price history. Jumped from 170'ish up to 430 in a day. Makes me sad because I bought one, thought nevermind and sold it back.. Did more research and realized I should have kept it and now I have no clue.

Quick question on Bravura owners.

Toying since 2 weeks around with Metatron Torment. Amazeing WS, however very inconsistently. With enough attack (read BRD 1xminuet or COR chaos Roll, and Food) breaks 1k dmg almost all the time on anything, can go up to 1.7k dmg on colibris. STR is the key i know, but this WS is suck ass once you dont have minuet or chaos roll on. Swap in more +attk gear instead of STR gear in those situations? I am confused, as anything I tried makes it basicly sucktastic to king's justice or raging rush without a brd or cor.

Losing all hate is usually enough. Confirmed this way back in the day when it was first added, pulled a raged Roc from RMT on first yellow and it came to us fully unraged. There's another check that screws it up occasionally, but I don't know what the check is.

yes, and it works rather well, assuming there's not a higher tier protect on them already. if you cast prot1 on a general with prot4, it will just no-effect you and you get nothing.

What is the exact quantity of the accuracy bonus that the first hit of all WS? I want an actual number. i cant reember where i saw it but I'd rather have a number than hear people say "zomg it's alot!"

Generals are usually overbuffed, look for a Qiqirn mercenary or a Volunteer and spam protect/shell, haste too if you want.
I noticed that after a few buffs skillup rate decreases noticeably (maybe it's just me), but if you switch to another npc you will start getting good skillups again.

shortest version: no one actually knows.

short version: most people figure it's around +30-50 since that's about what most of the tests* showed.

longer version: there aren't any empirical grounds to assume the bonus is static at all, likewise, there are no empirical grounds to assume the bonus is entirely present; or that's it's actually a literal bonus at all and not just ignoring some kind of penalty (like level adjustment). most people in 'typical' weaponskill gear will see 95% accuracy against most monsters within 8 levels of themselves, but this doesn't mean that you could remove 30 accuracy and still see capped accuracy, or that you'll only need to add 8 accuracy to stay capped against a monster 10 levels ahead of you. mostly, the real number crunchers don't care to find the exceptions and the work is too long to be done satisfactorily by casual testing.

look at the people buying/selling since the maneater hit 400k
they are all buying and selling the same things, repeatedly
sometimes even to the same person.
how many people really need 2 brown belts? and how many people do you think have 2 to sell? and on top of that, what are the chances you will sell 2 in the same day to the same buyer?

I went 1/5, and the friends who I know did it went 1/7, 1/1, and 1/2. There was no TH involved in any of the fights, if I recall correctly. My personal guess was that the drop rate was about 20%. Going 0/20 is pretty rough though, especially with 30 minutes a pop...
