I never kept up on it, but which is better King's Justice or Raging Rush? My fiancee is sitting on the Nyzul but she doesn't know whether or not KJ is worth it or not since she's only on WAR every now and then. Do you gear for both the same?

Also thanks for the filter information, he hasn't tried it yet, but we think that's what was wrong.

KJ is good for mobs where your PDIF is high, yet your dDEX won't be anywhere near significant. KJ is STR + ACC.

RR is good for anything where you can get an easy 40+ dDEX and on stuff with high defense (a crit adds more damage when your PDIF is low, etc.). You'll gear DEX, STR and ACC for it.

Some slots that definitely won't be the same:

Hands: Alky for KJ, Heca for RR
Legs: Warrior's for KJ, Byakko's for RR

The rest depends. For instance, if your dDEX is 45, a thunder ring will outdo a flame ring on RR, but never on KJ.

Edit: forgot to add, during Mighty Strikes, KJ always wins.

Can SMN put on BP timer-down, trigger the blood pact, and swap in Skill+ gear before the pact fires?

Never mind that if the can it would mean carrying more gear, and the reduced timer would just drain MP faster...

If no-one knows off the top of their head, best way to test would be at 75 cap, take off all skill+ gear, summon Garuda, hit Hastega in timer- gear, swap in +30 skill, and if Haste lasts 3 minutes it worked.

They're usually pretty similar. The main difference is that KJ is not a crit WS (unless using Mighty Strikes, of course), whereas RR is, as of the update a while ago. The STR mod on KJ is higher...essentially, KJ is the old RR with a higher STR mod.
My general impression is that RR "can" do better, if you get lucky with crits and all, where KJ is perhaps more consistent due to being better if you're simply landing all hits. Either way, not really make or break, just a different animation and more SC options.

Can use the same gear, though ideally she'd skew things a little more towards straight up STR for KJ, given the higher mod, and pushing for crits being pointless. My sets basically only differ in that for RR I use Haidate, and for KJ I use Relic pants...but I don't have every bell n' whistle possible =P

Great information, thanks both of you just what I wanted to know. I never considered this before, but obviously for King's Justice she would be using Warrior's Stone, however, would a Warwolf Belt be better on Raging Rush? I know you mentioned DEX was a factor in using Thunder or Flame, so I figure I'll mention she's a Mithra if that makes any difference on the answer.

This puts it below that top bar and just to the left of the menu.

I didn't like alky's for KJ just because my build didn't have a lot of Dex left, 4 Str vs -4~ Acc when I've only got like +20 Acc (Gorget/Nbody) anyways? Ehhh.

Also: always use KJ with your 2hr except if the mob is really really really evasive and you don't think you'll land all your hits.

Just zerged Eald for my AN redo, hit SC macro instead of KJ, 2hr War Charge SC > 2300 Dmg, Iwing > KJ > 2010 Dmg, with doubles that woulda been like 2500+. T.T

Since me and my RNG friend can't agree. Does +attack affect ranged attacks? I'm pretty sure it does...

Minuets and chaos roll add to ranged attack, but pure attack alone does not add to ranged attacks--iirc.

Which advanced job quests, involving some sort of fight, would be soloable for a 37WAR? I've only ever done them with help, or was like 60+ and slaughtered it, so I am curious which could be done at that level.
