Required build for RNG (assuming they will have 2xBRD at their disposal) to use meat on KS99 Wyrm?
Required build for RNG (assuming they will have 2xBRD at their disposal) to use meat on KS99 Wyrm?
I was thinking of leveling puppetmaster, and was wondering which attachments would be best for the different frames? I've searched and found combinations for the blm puppet (Tranquilizer, Loudspeaker II, Ice maker, Optic Fiber, Mana Converter, Replicator, Shock Absorber, Condenser, Economizer, Manaconverter, Mana tankII, and Autorepair kit)? I was wondering what attachments would be best for the Sharpshooter. Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Would it be possible for other puppet forms as well? Thanks~
For Ouryu earth resistance build in the air, wind staff or earth staff? I would think wind staff for the resistance, but I see some strategies call for earth staff and wasn't sure if Ouryu melee'ed in the air or is it like KS99 wyrm.
It's magic surely? Why would one wyrm buck the trend?
Humm Also, Any PLDs know whether or not /rdm /drk /blu etc would be better than /NIN for Ouryu? Given that Ouryu will be slept at all times while on ground.
Most use PLD/RDM tanks if using the sleep on ground method. It works fine, can just alternate sentinel and reprisal for added safety before sleeps. RDM sub will also help in air with magic def boost.
Thanks!
for Ranger I know my friends uses attuner, scope, coiler, turbo charger, flame holder[if pre-daze lvl] Tension Spring II otherwise, Repicator[if mobs automaton gets hate on], both auto-repair kits, target marker, stabilzer, flash bulb, optic fiber thats about it I think, I know for other frames he varies attachments alot more based on what he doing.
How are invites for cor from 10-75ish? Just trying to figure out if theres a certain level range when cors start getting tons of invites like mid 50s with brd.
Cor gets Hunter's at 11 and Chaos at 14. These rolls are very powerful; even moreso at low lvls imo. I used to do a lot of level sync pt in garliage prior to 55 on Cor and if you can get a drk and a rng, it's ridiculous what you can do there.
Cor has no problems getting invites at any lvl range.
Searched in other threads for treasure casket info but couldn't find much. I spent about four hours farming Rolanberry for Gaiters last night and got a grand total of two brown chests, and like 40-50 blue ones. Is there any way to improve the percentage of brown chests, or am I just doomed to spend a week killing crawlers and leeches?
For a THF with capped marksmanship, is there such as thing as "too much Ranged Accuracy"? I figure it would be easy to get Ranged Accuracy+40 with just a few pieces; but it wouldn't be too hard to get a lot more in other slots if 40 isn't enough.
Naturally, the big problem is inventory space; but what would be the typical R.Acc. needed to land bolts on Tough/Very Tough monsters?
Pretty much the most you can get is good. 2*r.acc rings, dusk trousers, PCC (if you have), ohat, Pahluwan body (if you have). Even with sushi r.acc is iffy, and wasting time missing bloody bolts is very counterproductive on challenging solos. Then again, recently I've stopped using bolts on t/vt mobs unless it's an emergency and just meleeing until it's dead, and kneeling after the fight. Almost takes the same time but in some senses it's less dangerous because you can potentially take more damage spending time on bloody bolts.
Do I need a Dark Torque if I'm RDM/DRK and stunning things like Cerberus, Khimaira, Tiamat, or chainspelling stun on things to prevent resist?
I've never had a Stun resisted on Cerb when I'm not using any Dark magic gear. Khim it's gonna depend on how much your shell uses Shield Bash and other stuns during the fight wether he resist's or not. My last Khim we had a hard time breaking the wings so lots of SB's and WB's were used, when it came time to Stun Fulm I got resisted as Rdm/Drk, we had our Drk there as a 2nd Stun and he never got resisted probably due to his higher skill. Hard to say wether I would have been resisted or not had I brought my Dark magic gear with me.
On Cerb you should be fine with just Jupiter's Staff and whatever other magic accuracy gear you already own (but don't sacrifice Haste/Fast Cast for it). For Khim, though, RDMs should make sure they have their Skill/accuracy as high as possible in case it gets spammy and requires lots of Stuns. I'm pretty much only comfortable with BLMs stunning Fulmination.
