Hmm the reason I ask, is that technically, my minimum crit rate should be 15%, no? Since min crit rate is 5%, +6% from destroyers, and +4% from merits, but I have more than a few saved parses with me at a lower crit% than 15

Edit: hmm double checking, not nearly as many as I had thought but there are a few where i was 12-13% over a long number of punches (like 600+) I wonder what was up there.

RNG/NIN is pretty broken for Grahs; I've soloed a few dozen stacks of chips primarily to keep my buffer up (pre-campaign). Like everything else in sea almost, sleep bolts proc np.

Crit tiers (plural) do not exist. They're a myth. It's all bullshit. The only thing you need to 'break' in order for DEX to have an effect on critical hits is being at least 10 DEX-over-mob-AGI. From there, each point of DEX has impact on critical hitrate, but the higher you get, the more impact each DEX has. Yes, an Iota ring (for instance) becomes relatively more attractive the higher your DEX-over-mob-AGI is but there's no 'new' crit tier or so, it'll just give an x% increase in critical hitrate relative to your old DEX-over-mob-AGI.

pretty close depending how much jump tp helps, but thalasso here is half the price of skystrider here I don't see why you want to use it over thal w/o earring.

I am actually wondering where Shinryuu got this chart from. Right now at eighty low-stat fights against Lesser Colibri (dDEX 17/16/14) and my Critical rate is 13.29%. This is out of 3,190 swings.

Base rate is supposedly 5%, and then I have 4 crit merits, so that leaves ~4% ...according to the Crit chart I have a dDEX of ... 35.

I got my info from someone who did a crapton of parses and posted his info in numbers, I made it into a chart and the curve came out, which points to the data at least being semi realistic. From other people I've gathered that with a crit weapon and merits and claymore grip they indeed have the expected 33% critical hit rate.

Are you sure you have 17 dDEX against Lessers? Their AGI is pathetic. Theorycraft: your base critical hitrate is higher if the mob is lower level than you. Test go.

Counterstance while fighting Armored chariot in arrapago or not? The thought of being one shotted by mortal revolution has me worried.

I've done both, no big difference ... with 1.5k HP it almost one shotted me once only out of all the boss fights with couterstance, and I had several deaths happening when not counterstancing. Shit will only happen when you are out of shadows and can almost kill you with or w/o counsterstance. So what I do is full time counterstance and when it's been a while since last TP move, i don't recast shadows, and only cast it during a tp move animation. Usually with para/slow/elegy/blind the bosses are amorph to the point that it's almost ok not to use utsusemi.

Yes, I play on a JP account using NA client, and anytime I want to change something I use JP POL w/o anything else installed.

Occam's Razor tells me the listed AGI for Lessers at otherWiki is tooo high.

Is there a known, reliable, DEF/AGI/VIT/etc. database for mobs?

In regards to the theorycraft, while finding the new 2-handed pDIF I'll be sure to record all the crit rates.

2acc as far as we know always confers a boost or penalty of 1 percent hitrate. All level correction does is subtract accuracy from your total accuracy at a rate of 4 accuracy per level difference (basically -2%acc per level of difference).

Admittedly nitpicking, but this isn't true when your accuracy is below 5% or above 95%.
