Depends on difference in stats, at least according to elemental magic testing by Kaeko. At 0-10 INT above a mob, 1 INT = 1 MAcc. Above that, .5. I would assume similar for Enfeebling.

140 isn't just a possibility with hands and head, it happens around 25-33% of the time which is far too often to compare it to the random 72tp meditates you get as /sam every so often.

My point is that it has a set duration, no matter how you space it you can't have a discrepency of 2 ticks because that's logically impossible unless there are other factors.

I think it's lower than that. At 30%, that'd be 9% chance to not hit 300 TP after 2 meditates (while pre-meditating/etc). I see 280 TP as the end result like less than once a month, and I'm pre-meditating way more than 10 times a month. I'd buy maybe 15-20%.

This is mostly correct, if you assume normal circumstances. That being said, I have no clue how FFXI is actually programmed in regards to this, but they do a lot of things in a very unintelligent and counter-intuitive way. Based on how meditate works (as far as server-side calculations vs client-side calculations), it may be possible to widen the gap by .05 seconds or whatever, to allow a 2-tick discrepancy. Furthermore, the

For everyone else, what Thorny is saying is:

Assume for fun its 2 sec per tick.

    7 ticks (140 tp) = 12.0 sec - 15.98 sec
    8 ticks (160 tp) = 14.0 sec - 17.98 sec
    9 ticks (180 tp) = 16.0 sec - 19.98 sec

Now as an example on 7 ticks.
You meditate right as the first tick is happening. It's then a 2 second wait per tick, and then meditate fades off at the final tick

    .2+2+2+2+2+2 = 12.0, lower bound.

The upper bound would be you meditate 1.99 sec before the next tick (or .01 after the last tick), and it wears off 1.99 sec after the last tick (.01 before the 8th tick).

    So 1.99+2+2+2+2+2+2+1.99 = 15.98

Anyway, there's only overlap for 2 possible #s of ticks like that, but after you add in latency and how they actually do calculations, it can get odd. It's definitely possible that some odd relationship exists here, that would allow for a 2 tick discrepancy.

If you're talking about getting the key item, it's really easy, considering there is a different color patch on the snow right where you need to slide down. There are videos up on youtube with this as well.

But the correct answer is have a whm mule in the cave so you don't have to climb the mountain twice.

While people who aren't on the final mission in ACP can still enter to help and assist, can those who don't even have the ACP expansion purchased enter?

Secondly, what is Seed of Judgment's range? Cause I know it's larger than 15'. I've been hit by it while standing at 15.4' and 15.8'

Is there anyway to get rid of a WSNM quest? I guess I picked up savage blade on accident and I really don't want to do it.

I heard from an old friend (who admittedly doesnt play anymore) that you could use fastcast at the beginning of a spell/song and then switch to CHR or INT or something midway so that you gain both the advantages of the fastcast and the INT+. Is that true? I can't really seem to find the right combination of search words to support this. I imagine a macro for that would just be like /equip "Fast cast" /magic "Song" /equip "Charisma" or something.

This is true, but remember that Fast Cast serves two purposes. It reduces Spell Casting time which is checked at start. It also reduces recast time, and is checked after the spell lands. Casting in Fast Cast and ending in stat/skill gear will give you the advantage of the faster cast, but not the faster recast.

It definitely works, but sometimes the fast cast gear won't proc in that type of macro without a /wait due to lag. May make more sense just to idle in certain pieces like loq. earring, or yigit/shai'r body for brd if you don't have a refresh body.

Following up on cure questions I was answering earlier.

There is no animation duration decrease going from LA+clogs+cappedmerits to LA+clogs+cappedmerits+loq+mardukbody(or that new fc body either I suppose if its the same 5%)

I also tested with /rdm and saw no animation change as well. I'm going to test to see if the hp healing server-side is quicker with various setups here soon, after I eat dinner.

    edit:
I can't test loq itself definitively on cures because of internet latency and whatnot. However I can test marduk and it does increase cure speed server-side going from [LA+clogs+cappedmerits+loq] to [all that+marduk body].

Is the reduction delay from Dual Wield % to weapon dealy the same as as the weapon delay reduction you get from haste? I thought it was, but recently been told otherwise, and that in koga pants you swing faster then haidate.

How do they compare Dual wield % vs haste, in terms of just weapon delay
and in particular is 3% dual wield >, = or < 4% haste.

If it matters would be combined with another 12% haste (homam hands, turban, swiftbelt) which will eventually become higher. Also suppa earring.

/nin so only the two Dual wield trains

Say you have 40% DW and you're comparing Koga to Byakko's and you leave out the DEX and TP gain which favour Byakko's. Purely attack-speed wise, Koga is better if you have between 0% and 39% haste (total, gear and spells). They're equal if you have 40% haste. Byakko's make you attack faster when you have more than 40% haste.

    Replace 40% with whatever amount of DW you have. Suppa's 5%, chainmail's 5%, and traits are 10%>15%>25%>30%, that's why I took 40%.

As for 3% DW vs. 4% haste, ugh. (1/1-DWn)/(1/(1-DWo)) = (1/1-Hn)/(1/(1-Ho)), where o,n are old and new (before/after adding 3% DW, 4% haste) and H stands for haste. Plug in numbers, bigger one wins.

Ah, not a nin myself, I'm /nin, so just two DW traits, and meant to mention with my gear also suppa is included.

Then 4% haste always beats 3% DW for attack speed.

Thanks, I plugged in the numbers and and the haste was ahead by a bit, but then again I wasn't sure if I was doing it right. But thanks again.
