I've finally gotten around to trying to finish Bastok Missions and I'm stuck on Salt of the Earth (the one with the plasmas that keep splitting) and although I could find a BLM to help out, I'd rather not. I'm having a problem with the Wiki strategy that says you can kill the gigaplasm with a nuke and then have carby go attack one and it won't link the other. Well, we tried this (WHM (me) PLD DRK SMN) and the two macro's linked. The only thing I can think of is that 1. The smn wasn't sneaked and 2. He used a water spirit instead of carby. I don't know much about SMN, would changing either of those things cause them not to link?
So my XBox 360 got the red ring of death recently. I sent it in to get fixed, they sent me a replacement Xbox (note: it's no the original one I sent in). I go to start up my PlayOnline with the disc in the drive like I always do and get a message saying "the game could not start. Please download the game again."
So I go back to the xbox dashboard and do the "install to hard drive" option since I'm unable to actually load the PlayOnline DVD.
A few minutes later after the installation is complete, I go to run PlayOnline and get the "The game could not start. Please download the game again" message.
My question is, what do I have to do to get this to finally work again?
EDIT: after I got the "the game could not start" message the second time around I deleted the game from my hard drive and tried starting the game up normally from the disc. I got the same error message.
If you zone them and they end up spread out you can single pull them. Their 'idle' spot after deaggro is wherever the bigger slime they popped from died.. I soloed this mission ages ago on Ninja by zoning it to valkurm and pulling one at a time after each kill. I don't know about your summoner thing though <.<;
Thorny nailed it. Can use a similar strat too, and kill get it done a bit faster w/ 3 blms. First blm to run outta MP gets to rest or hold one, the other two can deal with the rest without having to zone. When you start going down the "tree" of plasms, you want to basically make sure that the ones that spawn do not link with other plasms that are alive. You can, at some point, use firaga3 to kill two at once.
I want to see how much Meteor Strike would do to one of these, though. The summoner can carby pull them if they happen to be too close

Anyone know where to find this?
Can anyone confirm for me that the Elite Training Regimes for Augmenting Items can really only be done once per Earth day? Seems a bit harsh if true.
In terms of skillups for SCH, is 210 the max that magic needs to be skilled up to in order to cap?
So, it has been quite a while since I ran a mule to Jeuno, but I did another one today... Has Sneak and Invis spells always worn instantly when cast on a lvl 1 mule?
(Pots and powders lasted for a reasonable duration though)
I am pretty sure that was mentioned in passing in an update note like a year ago.
Don't need sneak/invis at all to make it from a town to Jeuno though.
metal gear solid skills ftw
or just raise the mule and keep going assuming you have someone to sneak the character. Not like you're worried about exp![]()
It hasn't always been like that, they added it with an update in late 07 or 08 I think.
what does <stal> actually do?
Easiest way I've found to get mules to Jeuno is with a BRD/WHM to mazurka/hymnus and avoid aggro/zombie your way to Jeuno. WHM sub for if the song wore and you need to raise.
<stal> puts an arrow on your alliance list and lets you scroll up and down to select a player to cast on. <stpt> does the same thing but for your party.
