A) What is the cap on Spell Interruption Rate down?
B) Does Aquaveil count towards this cap, or is it separate (sort of like how Haste has a gear cap and a magic cap)?

Auto-sorted items are 0 points in my shell - if no one wants it enough to cast lots, they aren't going to get penalized for randomly getting it >_>
My shell has been together for over 4 years now though, so on average 75% of the drops on any given run are freelot (no one has it /seacomed, but people can still equip it), or auto-sorts.
We have three tiers:
Stuff you main lot - standard costs
Stuff that open lots - ie opened up to others but minimal cost
Stuff that autosorts - free
We don't penalise peeps for having something sort to them cos frankly it's a risk if we farm up until the last minute. Most peeps now have had it drummed into them that if they have to afk within the last 10 mins they need to drop glass.
We do believe that if you want to lot on it, you need to pay for it. Stops a lot of lootwhoring.
Could've swore I saw the thread not long back, but, are there any ZNMSs Cor can solo *without* movement speed?

Shield for PLD, meh, I did crabs mostly...skilled club at the same time. PLD/DNC is pretty much a snoozefest on that. If you're using a Joyeuse, doubly so. I would probably start with lower level mandies until post 210 skill though. I started around 220, so I went straight to Steelshells.
Depends on why it was implemented. As a general policy, it's stupid. I wouldn't say it's a common rule.
It'd be appropriate as a possible penalty if you're specifically told to pass and don't, and the piece winds up in your inventory as a result. IE, something drops last minute, and the "right person" getting it requires everyone else passing in rather short order. Or the person who should get it is dead and can't get up, so everyone else needs to pass so it drops to them.
In those sorts of cases, sure, penalize people who don't listen.
If it's something that's last-second, no real way to control, then oh well. If it wasn't called, or the person/people who were supposed to lot were AFK or something, then it shouldn't be some other person's fault.
From what I've heard, AM2 M.Acc is lower than that of tier4 at 1 merit. I was wondering at what point the M.Acc is greater or equal to that of a tier4. I would assume at 3 merits into any AM2 it would be the same and any more would go above tier4's, but that's just a guess.
Sneak and Invisible (just like Haste, Refresh, etc.) have always been subject to the duration decrease when casting Enhancing Magic on someone below the level of the spell used.Originally Posted by Thoreau
I agree that it depends on why it was implemented, but sounds severe depending on how you implement your points system. If you disagree with the policy, you should respectfully ask for justification why it was necessary and base your challenge off of that response.Originally Posted by fren
We don't run on points in our linkshell, but our members are offered the ability to choose a gil payout in most zones determined by the amount of currency singles we receive. If a member free lots a piece of AF, they forfeit this share (because they received AF they want).
We "penalize" members who receive AF that automatically distributes by also making them forfeit their share of gil. There are obvious situations where we make exceptions (such as full wipes where no one can pass) but the point is to stress that people need to pay attention and lot/pass AF quickly so that we can ensure the AF is going to the people who wanted it without the risk of disconnecting, etc.
If something automatically distributes to you, you're either not paying attention or you're sitting on the fence about wanting to explicitly lot it or not. It is very rarely the case--except maybe in very low-man setups--that you're so overwhelmed that you can't take a couple of seconds to pass a drop that will sit in the Treasure Pool for five minutes.
Generalising based on your own experience etc.
Depending on bidding/points systems this kind of rule can allow for a healthier system. It also is a great way of detering people from prolonged afk. If someone doesn't want something and doesn't want to risk having to pay for it then they can easily pass.
People generally know the lotting rules of the ls's they're in, if they don't like them they can leave. If the ls keeps its members happy and gets drops that people do want, whats the difference.
Wrong. In Dynamis, Rare/Ex items will stay in the Treasure Pool for FIVE minutes, just like everywhere else in Vana'diel.Originally Posted by Jeryhn

Not necessarily. I go RDM/DRK and I don't do it wrong.
If I'm not Refreshing or Hasting, I'm paralyzing. Or I'm stunning. Or I'm curing. Or I'm pulling. Or I'm doing any number of things. Typically I don't even pay attention to drops unless the linkshell chat looks like this:
<Guy1> RDM
<Tranny3> RDM
<Mangthra6> cool RDM
<Guy2> FUCK ME SIDEWAYS WITH A TEN FOOT BARGEPOLE, IT'S RDM!
<ActualGirl0> look at me, I'm on the interwebs
<Guy7> hey guys, I think that's RDM
Et cetera.
What's more hard to believe is that linkshells actually have problems with people going AFK in a CoP Dynamis. If attendance is a constant issue for your linkshell (or if there's constant violators of fakeafk), you should not be in any of those zones (or you should disallow the offenders access to these zones).
It has always been five minutes.Originally Posted by Jerhyn
Passing a drop can be concurrent with whatever else you're doing. While you're in the process of casting Refresh, Haste, Cure, Paralyze, you can--very easily--pull up the Treasure Pool, go down to the drop, and select "Pass."Originally Posted by Jerhyn
One could make all the excuses he wants, but it's not difficult and requires only a few seconds of your time, anywhere from 0-30 times over the course of 2-3.5 hours. Not taxing at all.
