Fury can actually be good for situational things. ISNM puk, easily averages higher than any other h2h WS. Also was putting out decent numbers on JOL and works nicely in ballista

JOL is heavy def mob, so i guess it does work, i'll test it out more, i was using them on farming mobs tho (ep-dc etc) so they were pretty shitty, The mods on wikia says 50% STR and VIT which i am honestly NOT Believing. so STR all on it?
Has Jailer of Faith always been completely resistant, or at least highly resistant, to Poison or is this just a result of the new resistance problem? Tried to DoT kill him a couple days ago and I was unable to land Poison at all.

Like Cream Soda said, Ascetic's Fury can be situationally useful, like ISNM Puk, and when I'm bored and somehow get jobbed MNK for Dyna-Xarc, I mess around with DK/HF/Fury--fairly similar, but sometimes a Fury can freak crit/DA and surpasses whatever DK/HF could be, in my experiences.
For the ISNM Puk, I've messed around with HF and DK a lot. Asuran maxes out at around 700ish damage on that thing for me but generally only hits around 400-500 damage, while HF/DK/Afury can reach much higher values, and averages much higher anyway. Out of all the ISNM Puk runs I've done, I've found that the highest damage WS I could achieve was through Afury rather than HF/DK.
Keep in mind these are only freak high WSes, and not the average Ascetic's Fury. For my build, Ascetic's Fury is generally the same damage or sometimes a bit weaker than Howling Fist or Dragon Kick on high-defish mobs. On the case of ISNM Puk, I set myself to just spam Ascetic's Fury over any of the other WS now.
Can BST charm ordinary mobs in MMM? My searches of this forum found some posts implying that they can, but no one explicitly said it (that I could find). Thanks!
Anyone happen to know the exact haste values (xxx/1024) on the Usukane set bonus and Black Belt? Pretty sure Kirschy posted that Somen and Hizayoroi were 30/1024, and Sune-ate were 20/1024... curious if my 25% Haste is actually 25% Haste...
If no one knows, is there an easy way to test this?
That's the only reason i use ascetic. If i see my asuran being low on some mobs (like 500-600ish asuran), i just swap to ascetic and average 500 too. And wait for the higher than usual tp return, and grin to a random 1200+
Think i'll just swap back to howling later, but for the moment i'm kinda pleased with ascetic.
I can't really tout that my WS build is the best, I'm sure there are several improvements that can be made. It's just what's been working for me, obviously, and using gear I have shared among other jobs. This is my Ascetic's Fury build:
FFXIGEAR.com
Mainly I focus on STR, VIT, Attack, and Accuracy. My accuracy is fairly high using the WS with this build (1-hit WS bonus? Though really "2-hit," but I don't know).
Yes, you can. This post is pretty interesting:

and some more ramblings about it:

I've been focused on bosses for quite a while, and farmed all the marbles I need and more before the version updated, but some year when my trio finally has all our items, I'll be checking the other options out.
Mandalic Stab: Does this ever outperform DE (assume a gimpthf without a good WS set) on Campaign mobs? I'm sitting on a Swordbreaker and I'm wondering if I should bother unlocking the damned thing.
It can put out very solid numbers, and puts dagger on both sides of light, something dagger didn't have before. Really no reason for someone to not unlock it imo.
Edit: For a more targeted answer regarding just campaign mobs (if thats all you are ever going to use it for), it will most likely average less dmg compared to DE on campaign mobs >_>
Skill chain length: Could a skill chain potentially go on forever, or does it just stop after so many weapon skills?
It can continue indefinately, but the damage increase caps at the 5th skillchain. Also this would be assuming you stick to only level 1 or level 2 skillchains since you can't continue skillchaining off a level 3 without a relic weapon, and then you can only do it once.
Also, you can't go down SC tiers, like do a level 1 SC after a level 2 SC.
Question about HP/MP merits:
Im an elvaan, and my main jobs at 75 are mnk, drk, and pld. How would you guys distribute these merits? Right now I have 0 HP and 3 MP, kinda deciding on either 8 MP or 4 MP & 4 HP
I ended up on 6/2 (hp/mp) on my elvaan. 2 mp merits was nice for nin/drk, but I liked pushing hp farther (zerging etc).
I am doing 4/4[4/3 atm] w/blu drg sam mnk and pld next I find both good so did both.
