Did Campaign mobs recently get a buff? Was out there trying to get a quick rankup (yay got, finally 4/4 IR for PLD >.>) and noticed that on average they were hitting me for around 120-140~ (this is on SAM/DNC), instead of the usual 70-90~ that I'm used to.
I'm thinking they might have... Generally I can tank mobs fine on RDM/NIN just riding stoneskin w/phalanx and protect etc, but lately I've noticed if I don't use shadows I'm getting my ass kicked.
Personally, I have both 4/4 capped shield and 225 (capped) parrying and I still stack on the shield+ gear. On anything worthwhile, you're not going to be hitting capped proc rate with a Size 3 shield. I did, however, switch out Boxer's to Shadow Mantle because I like seeing random crits for 0.
If you're needing to blood tank a weak NM or something, go ahead and start stacking some Parry gear too. It's a really fun skill once it's up so high.
At lv70, do I need to TP and WS in Hachiman Kote / Sune-Ate for a 6hit?
In regards to weapon skill points, if you close a lvl 2 then someone closes another lvl 2 or 3 after you do you get another point?
i.e. Howling Fist > Vorpal Blade (Distortion) then a Tachi: Kasha (Fusion) or Rana (Darkness) Does that equal 3 or 4 points for the Vorpal Blade person?
lol that's like saying the full moon affects chest drops. The game is like hmmmmm /scan Ah ok lets give him a better chance at the drop that'd get him most gil!
I am just saying that's how TH reads, so logically it would work that way, you're just stating it might work, while it might, there is no reason to think it does, nothing supports it working on them. So I see no reason to camp a 100% drop w/TH and less claim ability then a sub w/claiming ability.
Well it might not necessarily work how we think it does. It could be programmed in a way where say o. kote have a chance to drop, than if they don't, knuckles will automatically drop. Rather than just one roll where 1-5 drop o. kote and 5-100 drop knuckles, which is how it probably works but who knows.
#1) SE rarely means shit the way it reads off. Especially in translation to English.
#2) TH doesn't exist, ask anyone who's done salvage.
It's entirely possible that such loot pools have a default drop that loads if nothing dropped from the NM (contradiction?!) and your Treasure Hunter trait is going towards your odds of getting the rare one which will thus turn off the default drop since it is only triggered from -NOT- getting the rare one. We don't know. Thus, you cannot prove/disprove that Treasure Hunter does nothing on such NMs. So, stop acting like you do know and the answer to the original question is: we don't know.
Rumor/hearsay/assumption is not an answer to a question.
To participate in Mog Bonanza this year, a character has to -exist- for 45+ days right? Does that mean that have to have been -active- for 45+ days? Or can I reactivate year+ old mules and use them this year?
Sorry for dumb question, I don't really understand the wording.
If I wear stone gorget and/or stone mufflers, and a whm cures me with afflatus solace, is the stoneskin they give me boosted by the gorget/mufflers?
No. The stoneskin potency of Afflatus Solace is 25% of the Cure's total Potency. So a Whm whose Cure V would cure you for 800HP returns a 200HP stoneskin, even if it actually cures you for 0. Not subject to level restrictions/nerfs, 200HP stoneskin on a level 1 is broken as fuck.
