You actually need +7 STP to go from 0-100 I believe, but after RR/KJ should only need +6 STP. Someone informed me of an augmented Spinel earring that you could get which had Dex+2, Acc+3 and STP+1 which would be the best bet to get your +1, other then that Attilas Earring or Chiv. Chain the only options I can think of till Brutal.

On a side note, I heard something about going from 7Hit to 6Hit is the equivalent of something like 15% Haste, this true or just made up BS?

    Chiv - +3 STR -5 acc
    Ecphoria - -3 acc
    Hauby+1 - -1 str -1 dex -12 attack -2 acc

    Total: -10 acc, -1 dex, -12 attack, +3 str

Assuming 95% acc and 1.5 pdif on birdies or city dyna or other moderate mobs where estimate is close to this:

    89.625 / 95 = .947, loss of 5.66% melee/ws dmg(through quantity of WS lost from acc loss)
    12 / 400 = .03, loss of .03 pdif or 2% melee damage
    +2 str = 1/2 a fstr, 100.75/100 = 0.5% increase in damage from fSTR(rough estimate)

7.16% melee damage and 5.66% ws damage - 7hit option
    20% WS damage - 6hit option

Actually showing the numbers, it seems 6hit will about always win.

@ the guy who ninjaed a post in before me: Going from 7hit to 6hit is a 20% increase in number of weaponskills if delay remains constant. This is not equal to 15% haste because it doesn't effect melee damage <_<

    Guess that answers that :\

I don't like it but more damage is more damage - just how annoying is it to redo ACP body?

You have to reclimb delkfutt's and redo the BC. If you have a competent group of 6(LS members or whatever, I know people in my linkshell spam it for earrings), about 60-70 minutes to redo start to finish.

He won't have 95% ACC. Work on Rajas and do it the proper way, unless your PLD is dinging 75 in 2010 or so.

Doesn't have sea so that rules Hollow out. Haidate? Aurum shoes? No swift belt (-3 ACC). DEX merits? Race? Seems to have all buyables so gonna assume he does have Cuchulain's, also going to assume 8 GAX and Perdu.

Just assuming 95% ACC on birds is wrong for a loooooot of melee.

If you lower it the acc does slightly more but not enough to change outcome. Aurum and Haidate aren't that hard to get, minuet is -.5 acc from hollow, and Sath is like the poster child for Cuchulain's D: If you just wanted to flirt with me you could go on msn ^_~

Each point of hMP is a static increase - it doesn't have diminishing returns.

    Uh, actually, let's see...

You have 1000 max MP and you're starting from 0 MP. You're not BLM or SMN so the increase per tick is 2. Starting point is 24. That's 23 ticks to 100% MP. Now, add Dark Staff (10 hMP). You now need 20 ticks to full MP, a 13% reduction improvement, or 1,3% improvement per hMP. Now add Errant body, 5 hMP. 18 ticks to 100% MP, that's a 10% decrease in ticks to MP or a 2% per Errant's hMP. Now scrounge up 10 more hMP from various gear. 16 ticks, 11% increase, 1,1% per hMP.

Now, this is bullshit math because of spillover MP. Let's now compare the amount of MP you get at say, the 6th tick.

    - 174
    - 234 (34% increase for +10 hMP)
    - 264 (12% increase for +5 hMP)
    - 324 (24% increase for +10 hMP)

    Diminishing.

    CHR has diminishing returns too!

When you go from 10 CHR to 11 CHR, you get a 10% increase in CHR!
But when you go from 11 CHR to 12 CHR, you only get a 9% increase in CHR!

K yeah, nowhere near capped ACC at all yet. Been 75 like 3 days and rank 2 assault now on this char - no Perdu.

So yeah, nowhere fucking near ever.

Something tells me you're over-complicating this whole thing. +1 hMP means you regenerate an extra 1 MP per tick on top of your base regeneration, it's as simple as that. It's not like MAB where every point you add has less of an effect - it's linear. You're turning it into a percentage when it's not really relevant, I think. Perhaps I'm just missing something in your post (I'm sort of unclear on what you're doing since you say things like the starting point is 24 and the base increase per tick is 2, both of which are incorrect).

Remember also that hMP doesn't affect the increase per increment, only Clear Mind traits do that. You're right about it being bullshit maths, too, since every time you rest it's for a different length of time. Anyway, as Valyana said, it's a moot point since there's no other stats that need to be taken into consideration whilst resting.

I've been saying this for a long time! It's very rare it won't win out.

And /clap for diminishing effects coming up again. It's still semantics!

Does Light Grip affect Charm? Don't think it would, but not sure. Anyone have any tests on it?
