Edit: Hmm wouldn't anything with 30%+ as a mod and the ws didn't also have str as a mod be better as good/better than str to stack?

It would have about the same effect on base damage. But STR also adds attack, so it beats 30% mods other than DEX.

I'd like to have a better sense of how attack compares to base damage in different situations (on non-Attack Bonus WS).

The combination of Breeze + Soil + Snow + Light gorgets will get every major weaponskill except Penta Thrust. I'm not counting Raging Fists in there because the only job that would consider using that would be PUP, and wouldn't they rather use Stringing Pummel anyway? Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't really know much about PUP.

I got the Gully in the attached pic from ANNM (augments: AGI+1 Attack+5 Delay-8%). Would this be good for DNC or am I better off with other daggers that are available?

Where you won't get killed for not being Pld/Nin, Flash/Cures/Dispel/Blind/Bind/Sleep/Bio/Barspells depending on the situation but it's far too broad to give more than just a main list of spammed spells, good support, ideally haste, ballad, refresh.

Keep Phalanx up, spam Reprisal, only worry about Stoneskin if you get a chance to get it up, spam some hate spells to cap yourself out, then check the Kaeko hate lists to see what you need to keep CE/VE high.

I see it used at kirin, JoL, and einherjar, works very well for kited fights like kirin. Have a good enhancing/mnd gear for stoneskin and phalanx, keep blink up and spam sleep dispel poison flash. you need march haste ballad refresh.

I use it for JoL, Kirin, Ouryu in endgame situations... as for solo

if i'm going to be fighting anything EM Or weaker i go PLD/RDM > - >, its honostly alot more fun, and sometimes, like in the tree on steelshells, i still go PLD/RDM cause it has more survivability and im too cheap to splurge on shihei after shihei when i could use that time to pop Phalanx, level enhancing magic, and shield skill.

It really excells on almost anything you can solo, do FoV in Ro'Maeve, Valley Of Sorrows, and Cape Terrigan as PLD/RDM, and 90% of the time the mobs, DC, EM, etc don't break my stoneskin until Halfway through the fight... bar-Magic (Stormwind).

For example ACP fight in Fei'yin. You could go pld+DD+healer and supertank it as /rdm. I do it on mnk/blu .. pld/rdm should be cake. Another example is "The ashu taliff" mission#1 with supertanking strategy also and same setup. Pulling in einherjar, dynamis .. etc.

You can't supertank the Fei'yin fight, btw.

They share hate really weirdly, I actually liked Pld/War because VE spikes turn them back towards you.

I've never been able to get a clear answer on this before, but does killing an NM in Dynamis - Valkurm remove it's noted ability from Cirrate Christelle, or just reduce the chance for that that move to be used?

And on that note, whether it be removed or reduced, as long as CC is stun-locked is there even a need to kill any said NMs?
