Did they start allowing same sex marriages? Last I heard they were still against it, but some mithra said they were getting married to another mithra. Pretty sure thats not possible, but I may have missed something.

Only if the two players live in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or Iowa!
But actually, no. Policy still reads "the characters to be wed must be of different genders."
I feel bad for not knowing, or being able to find testing on this. Great question.
It should be MND and INT by all rights, since INT boosts the Elemental 'jutsu wheel, but as Square has mentioned that some magic checks odd stats, might very well be AGI (or vs. something odd for the mob).
Omg can I marry the Mithra of my dreams?!
NIN enfeebles hasn't been a lot of testing on I think, so for now go with the common sense option: similar to enfeebles that do cost MP, MND for paralyze, MND for slow, INT for blind, INT for poison, MACC for all, (HQ) elemental staff for all (the appropriate element, of course), and ninjutsu skill for all.
Hey guys Im planning to level a melee job. I do Limbus, Einherjar, ANNMs, and Nyzul Isle. Which would be better for those events? DRK or SAM? I know SAM is a safe choice, but Id love to be able to zerg on DRK for bosses of ein, annm, and nyzul with my KC. But outside of zerg, is DRK a viable DD for those non-hnm mobs? Thanks for feeback.
Blood weapon doens't work for einher, so you cant rly "zerg". BUT stun is a wonderful/life saving spell on everything that doesn't resist it if you know how to use it properly. along with other spells, etc.

It's pretty fun...I did it to try out as war/pld when it first came out...this was with sentinel up but keeping full attack gear on.
Speaking of Leechkeepers, why it Campaign hate so stupid?
I'm curing some NPCs and when they all die mobs come after me and I die. So then I wait for em to walk back to the fort and RR and like a minute or two later another mob comes running up and kills me again. So I wait for him to walk back to the fort RR a second time and again in another minute or two another mobs runs over and kills me, at which point I HPed. wtf
I was under the impression that hojo was a static percentage of slow and worked out to be better than the basic white magic if it was cast with a poor amount of mnd (think xp parties with Chasuble rdms) but not as potent as a mage in very average mnd gear.
I think I read this in a topic by Kirschy but I just spent 15 minutes trying to make search find me a specific thread and then after reading it realising it wasn't the post I was after ;\
The post you wanted.
and also more info on slow:Spoiler: show
lv 32-37 (duo'ing with my friend lv sync) GKT vs Katana? Only 8 diff in skill, I actually have gkt 4 merits, would only get 3 at 30 so +6 skill. 2 diff in skill + 2hand and better ws? Or if not, sword/katana vs katana/katana?
Dualwielding should be doing more for you 25+, in terms of overall TP gain. The skill difference is going to be negligible, since GKT is getting the 2-hand bonus anyways (in fact, this should put GKT ahead of katana in attack/acc). But I personally stuck with Ktn/Ktn around those levels and subbed Mnk (pre-WotG). Dodge is sexy at those levels, and Retsu is honestly a pretty nice WS. Especially if you're finding yourself unable to get Jubaku off for whatever reason. With /DNC, Ktn/Ktn's increased TP gain over GKT becomes that much more pronounced.
Dual wielding a sword and a katana looks stupid. Reason enough to avoid it.
Fortitude Axe: When did this weapon become better then Perdu? I've been browsing recently and people are talking about how it's so amazing, I'm curious as to where? Zergs onry? I figure as a DoT weapon it's good with the OAT hitting almost every hit. But the base dmg of 64 vs 96, not to mention the ACC and ATK, wouldn't that kinda tip the scales in favour of Perdu?
It's always been good, with Crit TP RR being an excellent 100% Tp spammable WS, losing 30~ base damage to swing two to three times in a 6 hit build is ridiculous.
people are just too lazy to farm virtue stones
...or they're retards like me and can't stop playing with the damn thing til they're gone.
A normal great axe is like a Corvette, it gets the job done with enough style to get respect, but mainly it's rocking the whole overwhelming force aspect.
Fort axe is like being given a Ferrari to play with, but you gotta buy the gas.
probably a very dumb question but it's something that's been bothering me a while. up until now i've never used windower not out of a moral high ground attitude, but out of a fear of being the first person to actually get banned for windower (would be just my luck.) given that paranoid stance, what would be a decent list of the "bad ideas" to do if i were trying to be as subtle as possible w/ using it (assuming i even convince myself to try it). obviously using LL to lot while dead or stack w/o sorting inventory would be very detectable if SE had a mind to, but what would be some other uses that would be strongly cautioned against for the paranoid crowd. skip the "nobody will get banned for windower" statements though, please, as i'm already aware i'm being overcautious. just humor me on this front.
Absolute worst case scenario I would say saying things like "Right here is max range for nuking" without actually testing it, but honest don't talk and there's not a big risk. LL was actually changed so that you don't lot while dead though, fyi as I loaded it and forgot during Dynamis and figured someone who dislikes me that had came back would turn me in if I lotted dead, but it didn't.
Timestamp worried people for awhile, but that rumor eventually died.
Honestly you could just run windower and set it not to load any plugins than TParty and you'd probably be just fine (or any others you really wanted).
windower itself isn't what interests me, but yarnball and even more, spellcast. having spellcast to shift gearsets would be immensely handy so that i could macro things like minstral's ring and other bits based on the situation to more effectively use my gear, so if i can't use these tools, i may as well live windowerless.
effective and rapid gear swaps i could argue away as me just being extremely rigorous striking keys in succession (as to my knowledge the server does not know what your macros contain or what table you're on unless you save them, right?) meanwhile, something like blink me not would probably concern me as the server does know your current target (as evidenced by the fact that your head and others heads will turn to face what you target) and if your target doesn't unlock when the player blinks, you have an easily traceable server log that you were using windower and plugins. obviously the "loose lips sink ships" fact always holds true. never announce other people's TP, don't announce ixion's HP, etc, even though MOST of that could be explained away by "oh i'm talking with them on the phone." it's subtle but machine detectable server logs like the blink me not that drive my paranoia and i'm curious if anyone has any comments about odd little quirks that could get caught down the line. again, yes, i'm paranoid. i get it. i don't need to be told that. i'm far more interested in "this plugin's feature wouldn't be a good idea" suggestions. Thanks for the input though, TacoTaru.
