SCH or RDM
brd and cor have a lot of overlap. go brd, rdm, and either blm or if you can get good at it and you don't have regulars for it, pld.
This might belong in What's Better, but...
It's commonly accepted for DRK zerging weapons that KC > OC > m.kris.
Does anyone have any parses, or any idea how much difference there is in damage potential between OC at 72 vs. m.kris at 75?

This is my gear setup for OC at 72. Just wondering if I should go ahead and level to 75 for Homam/capped haste using m.kris, or if it's worth it to stay at 72 with OC and using the current build I have.
nah stay at 72, get dusk feet+1 and maybe use Blitz ring over Bloodbead
This is the setup I used for mKris: FFXIGEAR.com
I also added blitz ring & carbonara+1 to your setup.
Anyway, let's see if I can do this correctly:
oClub setup = ((magiccap(448 )+gear(202))/1024) = 63.5%
264 * (1 - (650/1024)) = 96.42~ delay
1800 / delay = 18.67~ hits per 30 seconds before multihits
18.67~ * 3.82 = about 71.31~ hits per 30 seconds
HP = 1709 (added carbonara+1) * .12 = 205 per hit
205/hit * 71.31~hits = 14,619 damage
mKris setup = ((magiccap(448 )+gearcap(256))/1024) = 68.8%
192 * (1 - (704/1024)) = 60 delay
1800 / delay = 30 hits per 30 seconds before multihits
30 * 1.9 = about 57 hits per 30 seconds
HP = 1810 * .12 = 217 per hit
217/hit * 57 hits = 12,369 damage
and kClub for fun:
kClub setup = ((magiccap(448 )+gearcap(256))/1024) = 68.8%
264 * (1 - (704/1024)) = 82.5 delay
1800 / delay = 21.82~ hits per 30 seconds before multihits
21.82~ * 3.82 = about 83.35~ hits per 30 seconds
HP = 1810 (added carbonara+1) * .12 = 217 per hit
2175/hit * 83.35~hits = 18,086 damage
Not really sure what the hit distribution is for oClub and kClub, so I borrowed "5:15:25:25:15:10:3:2" from another thread. Supposedly it's from Studio Gobli and it looks about right. So, Hit distribution: about 3.82 per round for Octave/Kraken Club.
Awesome, thanks.
I once read that there is a better place to manaburn than on puddings. Where is the best spot to duo, trio, full party manaburn as blm?
63-66 Vunkerl Inlet (S) on Giga's Tigers is a nice camp.
You don't need to change sync target as often as qufim
Haste +X% from equipment, actually gives Haste +Y%, where Y < X. If you have Haste+25% in equipment, you're really looking at Haste+24%, or thereabouts. So, you need to get Haste +26%, to actually get Haste+25%
Wow never knew that![]()
I'm working towards ranking up, but until I can get a perdu wand what are the two best clubs I can DW as a whm that are reasonably attainable ?
Is there a better combo than say martial wand and seawolf cudgel?
What should I be wielding when I do get a perdu wand?
What tubbers said.

As far as I remember, Homam Pants actually give more Haste than advertised.
the reason the haste figures aren't quite right is the same as the reason MDT and PDT aren't quite accurate. the item description is a % value in base 10 while the game represents haste as a fraction of 256. so if an item say had 10% haste, well, what's 10% of 256? 25.6, obviously. but the game prefers to work with whole numbers b/c they're faster, so that 10% haste is actually 25 or 26 depending on how SE plugged it in (or possibly even further away from the true value!). in most cases, SE rounds down making said 10% haste more like 9.8% haste. add in several of those rounding errors and your 25% haste isn't really 25% anymore. since the closer you get to the haste cap the more valuable each tiny shred of haste you can eek out is, it's critically important to scrape 26% to ensure that you're actually getting the full benefit of your haste gear. does that make sense? if not, tell me what you don't understand and i'd be happy to flesh it out.
*SIDE NOTE*
if you want to get technical i think kirshy initially thought of it as 256 but kept finding corner cases that altered that base. i'm probably rounding just like the game is, but i'm trying to keep it simple. if you want truly correct data, see kirshy's absolutely AWESOME work.
