For non 1hit WS on h2h (which the 2nd hit is added via subhand automatically), do the number of attacks in the description on h2h WS already cover the offhand hit being included? For example is raging 5 or 6 hit. Is Stringing Pummel 6 or 7 hit. Asuran is 8 as in the description but is that because you hit the cap or is it rly 7 hit with offhand included?

As far as I recall it's not accounted for, so Asuran is technically 9 => 8 hits yeah.

I think it's accounted for. Combo isn't 4 hits IIRC (description says 3). Plus, no description mentions single-hit. For NIN and katana, it's not accounted for (NIN could singlewield and descriptions wouldn't make sense), but for H2H, the only jobs that attack only once per attack round are jobs w/o H2H skill... and thus cannot do H2H WSs. Correct?

So, I've been meriting a bit more lately(working on my STR merits), and I've been really looking towards making my DRG more pimp as my RDM is nearly done, AH gear-wise, for what I use it for.

Obvious improvements in TP: Askar(starting my climb next week-ish), Swift Belt(never get a group together).

WS: Heca, heca heca! D: LS needs to do more sky now, which we kinda are. Also, got Ares's Flanchard on the go for Salvage(when two other people get'em), and Flame Ring when my Prism Cape sells. Any other big suggestions?

You can get one h2h attack per round by wearing a shield, if that would help with testing anything.

Cuch mantle when you get askar body probably uneeded atm though.

Can BST charm be partially resisted for half duration? Or is it just hit/miss?

As far as I know, the only thing that affects charm duration is mob level (relative to yours) and +charm gear. If you charm it, you own it for X:XX. The table on the wiki page is probably from the tests a BST posted to the Alla forum ages ago, and so should be accurate.

charm can't roll a partial resist. it's all or nothing, which is very valuable as thus you can make a more informed decision about when it's time to leave or get a new pet w/o the worry of if your pet may come uncharmed at a bad time and eat you. if you're surprised by an early uncharm, it's your own fault.

What's the 7/8 step skillchain order for SAM?

I am looking to gear my WAR for Raging Rush and 118 DEX however i can only get 116 or 115 (/nin or /sam). I am wondering if it would be acceptable in this situation to use a Thunder Ring.

Gear in this build:

Perdu Voulge, Pole grip, empty, Fire Bomblet
Heca cap, gorget, Brutal, Assault earring
Hauby +1, Heca mittens, Rajas, woodsman (atm)
Cuch mantle, Warwolf belt, Byakko's, Aurum.

68 Base DEX /sam + 47 = 115.

Good to use thunder ring here or..? Thanks in advance.

i've been thumbing thru some of the guides for blm pet xp to help me lvl sch and i noticed that some of them suggest killing smn's eles. i thought that the elementals always linked with their master regardless of the direction they face. am i misinformed? do these individuals have a friend or 2nd acct hold the mob while the blm womps on the ele? does it only work if they 1 shot the ele?

as i'm 52 right now, many of the camps rely on acing the mobs with freeze to avoid needing any kiting space and that's obviously not an option for me on sch so i'm forced to investigate new camps, so being able to broaden my options would be very beneficial to me. alternatively, are there any good suggestions for camps for 52 other than gustav? i've pretty much worn out my welcome on saruta past bunnies as many pop DC now.

Use a pixie earring in that setup. Better yet, merit DEX.
