Really? I guess since you just don't typically get very many of my notes from Ops that they never seemed to make or break whether or not I would maintain Wings of Honor.

Is there any kind of way I can buffer burn kill dobsonfly? Like maybe sam/blm with meditate and bio and a gang of reraises, or would meditate be fucked for 0 dmg after 2nd weakness?
They do, and it's possible to rank up from Campaign Ops alone, though it took the character I did them on an entire month to do so.Originally Posted by fantasticdan
Don't know what level your BLU is but I hear they can do it with pinecone bomb or something
Random question: Are yagudo piercing weak?
Nope.
WHM, SMN, BRD, RNG which has the most AN/hr potential in campaign? All well geared.

For best AN/hr in campaign battle, you want to get xp from lots of different categories. The main ones are doing damage, taking damage and curing damage, but enfeebles (not Dia/Bio) and raises are also good sources of XP. I do pretty decently tanking on BRD/WHM with Thyrsusstab spamming Spirit Taker like a 2004 PLD; I imagine a WHM with good melee gear and Mystic Boon would do as well or better.
SMN has the advantage of being able to cure or buff a whole swarm of players at once. I don't know how much enhancing xp got nerfed along with brd buffs, but I imagine cures are still good. And then you can also melee and Spirit Taker.
RNG doesn't seem as effective for Campaign XP as the others: you'll be doing good damage, but aren't really set up to take it or cure it.
Do Bloody Bolts count as cured damage?
Does crit hit +6% from Destroyers affect kick attacks? Any rough estimate of footwork DOT vs regular mnk DOT (assume Destroyers, brutal and 25%haste/22%+dunes, whichever is better)?
Mystic Boon has made Campaign so much more fun... some NMs I can chip away at forever. Martial/Perdu etc are a lot of fun and we get more haste than is really fair. Since Boon I've gotten so much more out of Campaign because my staying power is huge. WHM/NIN is now my favourite job to take out for Campaign.
I just took 318 damage from Rapido's 1000 Needles, with me as the only target. -31% PDT (idle when it happened), 350 Stoneskin, 27 Phalanx. How?
1000-310=690
690-350=340
340-27=313
318-313=5
so you're looking at half a % difference between what you expected and actual. this is most likely explained by the fact that the % description in the item text is an approximation of the damage reduction which is represented in a fraction of 1024 i believe. as such, something like the dring is 102/1024 reduction or thereabouts pegging it slightly under 10%. enough of those rounding errors from several pieces of darksteel+1 could easily account for half a %.
Ah-ha, thank you very muchthe error I was making was calculating Stoneskin first, so 1000 - 350 etc. That does make a lot more sense~
EDIT: Yes, I know it doesn't make logical sense to do it in that order either. No idea how I thought of that.
