Has anybody seriously tested PUP with fine tuning 2/optimization 2, some good combination of attachments and maneuvers on HNM recently? I seriously only ever hear people saying lolPUP but never showing any substantial evidence of how badly they suck.

Couple of quick questions:

If a NM has a one hour repop timer and the place holders are 12 minute respawns, if I killed a PH @ the 49 minute mark could the NM pop at 61 minutes? Or do you have to wait for the window to be open before killing the PH for there to be a possibility of the NM spawning in the PH's place?

I don't think anyone has a good answer to that besides saying that random crap NMs like that don't always operate on that 1hr thing, and that it's an estimate. So, just kill it at 49 minutes anyway.

Also, does TH(1,2,3 or 4) effect quality of drops or only the chance or getting any/more treasure. I'm sitting at 0/33 on mee deegi and 1 thing is guaranteed to drop in the pool (Knuckles or Kotes), does TH have any bearing on the outcome of me getting kote's? I'm guessing not but I might have missed something somewhere. Also, fuck Mee Deegi.

Um... the quality thing, I don't think anyone really can be sure about that or have legitimate data on it. I'm thinking that it only affects each item's individual roll. Don't really know what to tell you, besides have fun sitting around like the rest of us did.

I mean, I also had to sit around in Oz doing Scavange for my Ranger AF quests for over 48 hours straight. Called GMs and everything and they said everything was working fine--yeah, everything but my roll on scavange.

Why do people hate the Adaman Body so much and love the AF1? I can see a legitimate argument as to 1enmity vs ~20HP etc, but I don't understand the hate for that body; seems perfectly fine to me if you don't have Valor. Is it just the fact it is normally used by otherwise gimp players, or is there some underlying reason I am missing =x?

no, it's gimp looking. and a waste of your money.
And yes, 20HP is a big deal. So is divine magic skill for flash on high level crap.

Mage is really good for nuking (but you already knew this) even on HNM. Well, most anyway.

The other two are still crappy.

And of course adding teh merits helps a ton.

Yes, for all intents and purposes they're the same piece of gear. However, unless you have AF+1 feet, you shouldn't be storing your AF so there's really no need to spend money and inventory on a purple surcoat. The real stigma stems from the unfortunately large number of PLDs who wear the entire adaman set.

What kind of numbers are we talking? Specifically with the sharpshot.

Mee Deggi, Quu Domi the Gallant and Poisonhand are 100% drop either good or crap item, thus negating TH bonus.

ISNM drops in streaks seriously I've seen 0/6 plenty of times then next day's run 4/6 or 5/6 on k ore(once was 6/6 was amazing); so some people lucked out on ISNM/mining or Gilsellers still mine and threw some on AH before th ban.

Subtle Blow questions:

Does subtle blow have a 1:1 ratio? If not, what is the formula for it.

Is it possible to negate enemy TP gain from your attacks with subtle blow?

What are the stats of Monk Roll (sorry if this is easy to find, figured I'd lump it in)?

Are two handed weapons and H2H calculated per hit or as a total? (mostly for reference of whether 1 handers benefit more from subtle blow than 2 handers).

When I got a Peiste belt +1 synthed randomly, I did some testing with a Ninja friend of mine, it works the same as store TP in reverse basically.

I know he got where when he got 11 TP, the mob got 9 TP, which doesn't sound like much, but when you figure normally the mob would have 14 or something, that's a big change.

so i know lars is the "king of damage" i'm curious as to why though.
regular deremites dont have double attack (i watched for it quite a bit... unless it's super rare i didnt see it in 3-4 fights and that's more than enough for either enemy or pet to double) does lars?

how does he stack up in regards to counter and kick attacks adding up from homunculus (if your pet is tanking, which most cases it is)

looking at it from the outside... barring tp skills, wouldnt homunculus's perm double and multiple kick attacks/counters/gaurds outdo it ? i'm betting the tp gain is a factor here, but even so... i'm still curious as to why it's said lars is better overall.

I'm pretty sure diremites are DRK mobs, so 4 attack boosts is probably the answer you're looking for. That and decent TP move selection.

I haven't tested homunculus myself, but I've heard he's unimpressive which is too bad since korrigans are hax.

How does the whole MNK KRT party thing work? MNK/WAR x3, WHM, RDM, BRD Berserk+Counterstance as much of the time as possible, and just wander around killing everything that moves?

I need some CP pretty badly.
