How does the whole MNK KRT party thing work? MNK/WAR x3, WHM, RDM, BRD Berserk+Counterstance as much of the time as possible, and just wander around killing everything that moves?

I need some CP pretty badly.

To answer your other question, yes Red White Bard , and mnk/war x 3. However due to the gear and ability upgrades from since then till now, can prolly fit in a SCH instead of RDM ( :D ).

You must form a perfect loop, not kill too slow or too fast , if you want to infinite chain on 16 minute repops. But if you want CP badly, you'll get better exp doing infinite nexus golem loops due to their higher level, and you'll score diorites to pop byakko or to sell, so it's win/win instead of KRT's lose/lose area (low exp and fucked if you die in a shitty spot if you get overwhelmed).

Basically yeah. Back in the day I remember the good monks would only invite certain bards to pull because it was a pretty big task to pull for one of those parties. Oh and don't forget the 3-way Light SC's on ghosts.

Subtle Blow questions:

Does subtle blow have a 1:1 ratio? If not, what is the formula for it.

But the total caps out at 50 period.

Is it possible to negate enemy TP gain from your attacks with subtle blow?

And based on what I know from having used it, those seem pretty much on the money. Maybe a little higher for no MNK, but not exactly sure.

Are two handed weapons and H2H calculated per hit or as a total? (mostly for reference of whether 1 handers benefit more from subtle blow than 2 handers).

Every melee round, you're giving the 3 extra TP per hit, so hitting with 2 hands gives the mob 3 extra TP than 1 hand does. And yeah, I'm pretty sure Monk's counts as two hits. The enemy gains TP equal to your TP gain + 3, so the formula really if you hit both swings on a one hander (Dual Wielding) is [ (YourTP+3)* 2 *(100-Subtle Blow) ]. But keep in mind also that Dual Wield also (at different levels of the trait) is reducing the amount of your TP gain as well, which as a byproduct reduces the TP gained by the mob and the effectiveness of Subtle Blow in terms of direct TP reduction as the base number, but not percent, blah blah freaking blah blah.

In short form: it benefits 1handers dual wielding more than 2hd because the mob is getting basically 3 extra TP per round anyway

quick question..

which Filter allows me to see the damage my NPC is doing if it is even possible. I tried Attacks by NPC but it still doesnt work. Kind of intrested too see how much Blessed Radiance does.

I usually just take off the filter for "Damage taken by Foes" and NPC damage will show up. Might not be the exact name of the filter, but it should be close enough that you'll know which it is.

Storm Gambieras (Assault Appraisal) are pretty nice stat wise from what I can remember.

Fourth Division Sabatons are quite good (level 55, +2acc iirc), though not amazing... but hey, it's feet; they don't get amazing until level 72+.

Otherwise Storm Gambieras, Luisant Sollerets, Bounding Boots, Jaridah Nails if nothing else... pick your poison.

While we are on the subject of filters, what exactly is the "foe" portion referring to?

Also, it seems no matter what I have or don't have filtered, I always see "The xxx is paralyzed" when there are random people fighting a mob outside of my party or alliance (or I'm solo) that I have nothing to do with. Is there a way to get rid of that?

I'm confused on the prereqs for Apocalypse Nigh. FFXIcyclopedia says PM/ZMs completed, but also has it as a "Next Quest" following Bahamut (v1)

If I have completed ZM17 (The Awakening) and PM8-4 (Dawn), can I do Apocalypse Nigh, or is there something that precedes it?

PS: Anyone know a well-written synposis of the storylines? I've forgotten absolutely everything.

I've noticed that the NPC chat filters tend to include monsters that are not engaged by you/your party/alliance. If you turn them on you could see the effects of a spell like Paralyze on a nearby party's monster. To see your NPC's damage you probably just need the filter Attacks by NPCs left off. For weaponskills and spells you need Special actions started on/by NPCs off. (Remember ON means it is filtered.) But don't be shocked if you do see the occasional effect from another party. Unfortunately the chat filters and NPC/PC/Foe distinctions are not 100% the same for all things in game and SE likes to be confusing on what category things fall in.

This is the order you have to do things in:

1. Beat PM 8-4 and ZM-17.

2. Beat Bahamut v1 quest - Storms of Fate.

3. Complete quest Shadows of the Departed which includes climbing to the last floor of each of the 3 Promyvion areas.

Then you can do Apocalypse Nigh which will actually complete the Zilart and Chains of Promathia mission sets.

There are also some waits for JP midnight, next game day, and Conquest update. Unfortunately you'll have to check the evil wiki (FFXI Encylopedia or w/e) for details as the BG Wiki doesn't have a page for them.

Simplest way to do/explain.

1. Copy entire Playonline folder to external HD

2. Install Playonline and FFXI with all expansions on new pc.

3. Drop the entire Playonline folder from external HD overtop of the new installation

As long as this is same OS, it has always worked for me with out any problems. It will also get you out of having to download updates, you will only have to run threw the checking files.

anyone know of a camp where fomor thf's can be solo'd? poked around but couldn't find any leads. i want one of them diamond panties and i'd rather not bug my buddies to do level-cap shit. i have full cop access and a plethora of solo-capable jobs to pick from (BST, THF, DRG, PLD, RDM).

bonus points if i can get a rdm subligar as well. (or at all while solo)

You can solo the thf ones (fairly easily) in Phomiuna using BST. Since the Reward timer was halved it should be even easier now, actually; just take a lot of Zeta, charm a DC Gloop and go to the square room at (E-11) on the second map. If you use Reward every time it's up you'll have no problems.

Unfortunately the thief shares a spawn with a ranger, so you might be there a while until it drops.

Edit: I think the droprate is higher in the Aquaducts, but I'm pretty sure you can't solo any of the RDM in there. You could try 2houring an IT hecteyes type, but they're pretty dangerous in Sacrarium; probably better of with the method mentioned above.
