If you let your campaign medal expire, and then talk to the NPC to force an evaluation, will it reset the time at which your Op credits regenerate? Right now they regen for me at like 4am and I am trying to figure a way to move it to mid-afternoon. Letting them build up to seven and then taking one like assault tags doesn't work.

Is it possible to do the Copy-Paste thing with the FFXI folder to avoid the Update Downloads and not thave the game do a file check when you launch?

I know that it won't download updates, unless the computer you're copying from is outdated. I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think it'll do a file check either, if you use the method I linked to earlier.

Assuming the small accuracy loss is not going to change anything (which it won't in most situations, I add about 18acc to WS in and I already parse 90-95% in TP gear);

Assuming accuracy is not an issue, 7str > 2~3atk for Guillotine... what do you think? Tell me if I've overlooked anything.

7 STR have 75% chance raising your base damage by 2, 25% chance raising your base damage by 1. (BD +1.75)
With mob with realistic defense, BD+1.75 should be better than 2~3 atk

Does using manifestation with offensive magic actually register as a ga spell? That is, if you graviga or sleepga a group of ninja mobs, will it overwrite the shadows or will all of the spells get eaten by utsusemi?

Now that my Desktop isn't cocked up anymore how do I fix it so FFXI runs in "super shiny mode"?

If you have a backed up version of the playonline folder with recent upates, you just rename the playonline you want playoneline backup, install all your disks again (yes to expansions) and then move the new playonline folder (the one that has no updates) somewhere else, or just rename it, and rename the old one you had backed up playonline, voila.

Yes, it's basically just like "Physical Damage taken -10% and Magic Damage taken -10%". (and probably Breath Damage taken -10% I'd imagine but aurik might dispute that)

It will act like the respective -ga and wipe shadows.

Generally how should one gear up for NIN? I'm at 37 at the moment and have decided to pick it up for a set.

Stress evasion? Or go for a DDish type NIN. I plan to cast spells and voke constantly for enmity.

Just gear for DD. In a decent party with a BRD you shouldn't really have any trouble keeping shadows up with an Elegy on the mob.

He is 75 blm and 74 whm, and he just got his pole of trials. Can he gain ws points on whm even though his staff won't hit 230 until 75 whm? I think he can gain points with it, but I'm not positive.
