Can someone give me a play by play for Haste Samba >_>
It's an additional effect? +5% Haste? Stacks with Haste? I have no idea whats going on here
(Except I hate the noise it makes)

iirc, think sword strap. direct reduction from delay and stacks multiplicatively, not additively with haste.Originally Posted by Rocl

Currently using Magnet Knife+Behemoth.. but I also have a Misericorde and unsure if I should use it. Also, what's so bad about Heartsnatcher? Excluding the "get Blau+Sirocco or fail" argument. >.>;

Nyzul Isle Investigation
I plan to build a group, someone has cleared Floor 20, whereas the other 5 of us haven't cleared anything. Can we start farming from floor 16? And if yes, if we clear Floor 20, do we all have "Floor 20 clearance" so any of us can start from Floor 16?
I'm unable to find a clear answer anywhere (wiki/searched forums).
Sorry for late replies; I don't check the thread religiously.
Because when you're worrying about damage, your TA is better used separately from WS. It'll give you a full attack round of guaranteed hits, which equals free TP. This way you can focus on acc for DE and damage for TA. By stacking SA or TA + a multihit WS, you're gimping either the first hit or the rest of them because you can't maximize damage on the first hit while still trying to make all the rest of them land.Originally Posted by Tajin
What tank these days asks for TA anyway, and on what mob? They have tons of hate tools, and shouldn't be relying on TA WS for hate.
No matter how fast you get TP, you'd be getting it faster with SA and TA used for 100% accuracy attack rounds for guaranteed TP.Originally Posted by Max™
X's is better main hand than Blau, but you probably meant to exclude that too. Martial Knife is a good baseline knife to start with, and Misericorde would be fine offhand.Originally Posted by Mosh
How does Klimaform compare to Elemental Seal? Specifically can Voidstorm + Klimaform + Sleep II be used to sleep things where only ES worked before?
The discs are stored seperately.Originally Posted by TheStig

If you use Person1's disc, everyone in the party enters at floor 76 for that run. If you use Person2's disc, the highest you can go is 16. If you use Person3's new disc, you start on floor 1.
There is no "clearance" or anything aside from progressing on a single disc. I know this for a fact because, when I first did Nyzul a long time ago, I never got up to floor 20. I recently joined my LS Nyzul static and the very first floor we did was 76. Now, if I were to use my Disc, we'd be forced to do floor 1.
Thank You Mosh.
I'll have to work on everyone's disks then, make sure they get like 20, 40, or something then, if I get one going.
There's no reason to worry about two people having a disc until you get so high in levels that you need to go back to farm for tokens to enter, and even then, you only need to build a secondary disc and not worry about the other four people.Originally Posted by TheStig
RNG Question:
Should I be engaged on the mob close enough to melee for TP? I've read up on the supposed distances to stand for ranged attacks etc but theres so much flying about with rng nerfs and un-nerfs idk what is up to date :X (At the moment I'm level 30 rng)
ty in advance~
I always did.Originally Posted by millionsknives
A) Your daggers' dmg sucks
B) You also get an accuracy penalty alongside the damage penalty, and the penalty is pretty harsh for bow (though I assume at 30 you are using xbow religiously). Even with xbow, the accuracy/dmg reduction kind of sucks.
C) Pre-Slugwinder, WSes suck
D) Honestly you should be spamming bolts/arrows anyway. The small amount of tp you will get and the miniscule damage you will do will in no way make up for the acc and dmg losses.
This is correct. If you have a stable static then all you need are 2 discs. 1 "main" disc and 1 "whee tokens + drops" disc.Originally Posted by Therin

As a Drk what level would be a good time to start campaign?
Can you clarify a little more? I understand the main disc concept, but what's "whee tokens + drops" disc? Is that the Floor 100 "strategy"?Originally Posted by Mosh

So, I'd say people who are bleeding when they tank don't mind extra hate.
I guess I get what you're saying about the TA making you pick one or the other on WS.
I don't quite understand your reasoning behind not stacking TA or SA with Dancing Edge. A full round of TP is great, but often it's just 2 hits, about ~11 TP on my THF. By using a job ability, you're adding 2 seconds until your next hit. However, by using it in front of a weapon skill, you're losing 1 second. Two seconds per minute may not seem like a lot, but my average attack round seems to be in the 2ish second range when I'm hasted and marched, maybe 3 seconds with just Haste and gear. Using the abilities takes away one full attack round for minute, and for what? A jump from 80% accuracy to 100%? Not worth it.Originally Posted by Ichthyos
Furthermore, a WS average of 1100 on Colibri and Dynamis mobs is much sexier than 600-700.
Basically, it costs Tokens to enter Nyzul Isle. Every time you complete a floor, everyone gets a number of Tokens. For a while, you get MORE Tokens for completing a Nyzul Floor than it costs to enter. Therefore, for a majority of your Nyzul staticing, you can go straight through the floors without having to go back and farm for more Tokens.Originally Posted by TheStig
At some point, however (I'm not sure exactly what floor, I would imagine 50 or so) you start LOSING Tokens rather than gaining them. For example, it could cost you 1,000 Tokens to enter, and winning only gives you 900. Therefore, you lose 100 Tokens.
What I meant was that at some point, your disc holder will run out of Tokens. When that happens, you have to start at level 1 (or really, any level) on someone else's disc so that your main disc holder can continue to get more Tokens to enter. So really you only need two discs. One of them is your main disc and records all of your progress. The other disc is a Token farming disc.
If you want, you can level your Token farming disc up as well, and then you can use it to go back and complete floors 20, 40, 60, or 80 for gear while getting Tokens for the main disc holder. That's what he meant.
