To maximize your damage, I'd say get either an ebow or selene's, whore out as much STR and +r.att as you can get while maintaining good accuracy, sub WAR, and eat subs. Stand back and let fly! There were times in the 60s that with a bard I was doing 300+ a shot in exp (This was prenerf... but getting 200+ non-crit should be very attainable these days) with 2k sidewinders.

Don't mind sucking it up and using X-Bow, prefer it over Longbow since I like the lower Delay and the Bolt Spam, just trying to make sure that each Bolt is doing as much Dmg as possible.
That and my merits are in marksmanship from my THF.

I've been pulling hate in every party since we started on ToAu Birds, lately after 2 or 3 Bolts regardless of the Tank.
But I still get the feeling I'm gimping my possible Dmg output since I never see the same numbers on the Erucas and such =/

Will give Subs a try tomorrow and try macroing in some STR and AGI for WS to see if I can up my Dmg.

I have WHM and BRD at 75 and recently got Marduk hands. They're not amazing I know, but once I 3/3ed I felt compelled to upgrade them, so now I'm wondering what I can use them for aside from idle regen. Anything at all? ._.

The only thing I've thought of that they're best at is charm gear for WHM/BST. I'm 3/3 on them too, and on Skadi head, but...well, I've almost run out of things to buy (aside from relic, which won't happen), but I'm still an inch from the bottom of that barrel. I did finally pay for Skadi hands (only using them for COR WS and QD).

You can delete the quests in L.Jeuno but I think you have to finish them first, not sure. (Dude in Waag Deed's Magic shope or w/e)

Only way to be sure is to go into the magic shop in Lower and talk to the elvaan on the left as you go in. I suspect you'll have to finish your last PLD piece first and it just wipes the lot but you might get lucky.

The hMP discussion as kinda been thrashed out but as a BLM aren't you're gonna want the Yigit feet anyway? Even with Goliard clogs (I have both)? Yigit isn't a bad set at all.

As I said in my post, directly answering what you were asking, Yigit for HMP purposes is a waste of time. Don't be an asshole - You never said directly "hay, in the 5 slots yigit takes up, is this better". This is the newbie thread, I have the right to explain everything, which I did. Full Yigit really isn't a waste of time. Yes, you can do better but considering people who have BLU need a hmp set as well and they can't wear 75% of the other stuff. Fulltime mage w/o BLU, sure the one set is the best. Need to save some inventory space or have BLU, Yigit is pretty solid.

In the set Elphaba posted, Blue Mage can wear every single piece of gear >_>

In fact, the only piece(s) of gear being discussed here that BLU can't wear is Goliard.

Sorry, I was talking about Goliard Clogs/G.Chap/V.Khud which are needed inorder to beat Full Yigit. Guess I exageratted a bit~

So unless I messed up on the math or something I forgot about hmp, Elphaba's set isn't as good as Full Yigit.

It is a bit easier to get, since you don't need as many AP but by the numbers it is't as good. Add in Goliard Feet and you beat Full Yigit though. This is of course leaving out the fact that if you get up early and miss a tick, Yigit can win out because the Refresh was still ticking in between. Just trying to show, Yigit isn't a waste and it's great for those who need a bit of space because they have 8 jobs.

Beak Necklace+1 is hmp+2. You can still have hmp+3 on the neck with Phi Necklace. And for rdm with Duelist's chapeau, full yigit is easily beaten. Duelist chapeau, body +5, genie gages, yigit legs, arborsist nail (goliard clogs , mahatma body for the best setup).

Since when is Duelist's Chapeau exactly easy to get either?(thing dropped a ton in my old shell but I wasn't RDM yet, now I never see it..) lol, getting Goliard Clogs would be far easier, shit even getting Goliard Chapeau would prolly be easier imo.

My point wasn't Yigit is the best, I quite clearly stated and showed examples where it is beaten, my point was it doesn't suck.

I have obtained a spare character who has some beastmen seals I would like to use. If I go do a 3-person BCNM, with me dualboxing the spare character, can I use him to "let us in" the BCNM, and then the spare character logs out/warps out so myself and 2 others can enter the BCNM?

No, as far as I know the orb is like a pass to let your 3 current party members in. So you will have to actually dualbox your dualbox character.

i remember hearing someone say that if you had the orb holder chuck their orb in, have 2nd/3rd people go in (so there's never 0 people in the battlefield), then exit with the orb holder, you can move a 3rd combatant in. i've always wanted to try this on the kclub bc, but usually the orbholder either doesn't want to chance it or they want to open their own chest.

Think I mentioned that in a later post, and if I didn't I meant to. I'll probably just go with the mixed set, so yeah I'll be getting legs and feet right away. Rest of it later on when I level up some other mage job.

If you have the rdm and blm, or blm 2x, it's not terribly hard to 2box. Just for the love of God don't autorun >.> I did this just last night and while autorunning on one char, I was fixing my gear on the 2nd. I ran right into the kraken and with my fumbling, wiped and timed out when I recovered. The kraken has party aggro

I did this in Dynamis Beau once also, but luckily, no party aggro there.

Have your spare character use his orb and enter, have yourself or somebody else enter, then have your spare character run from the BCNM. You can then have 3 totally different people from the orb holder in the BCNM >_>

Last time I did Up in Arms we brought 5 orbs across 5 characters, but only 3 people ever fought the mob.

So basically what Spekkio said is true.
