Figure I can get an inventory space or two back if I get some for Rng and Thf but not really prepared to dump 300k+ if the benefit isn't there.

ToaU mobs don't resist bolts in general, they just have affinities.

Colibri / Mamool are wind based, so acid bolts have a very hard time landing.
Qutrub/Skeles dark based, drain bolts not very good on these.

Anyway, -3 mnd isn't too shocking, add effect from holy bolts are going to suck unless you are stockpiling mind. Even then, why on earth are you doing holy bolt build?_?
Just like having all the bases covered should I invest in a MND build when I finish RNG and actually get a Linkshell.
Just using straight R.Att/R.Acc at the mo.
I've never actually gotten a MND build. I have parts of a build (notably missing sune-ate, faith torque), but I really do not anticipate it being very useful if you're going to use a machine xbow. With o-bow ... maybe it'd be okay, since WS damage wouldn't tank as much. I aim to eventually get a MND build to go with machine xbow, since if anything it's fairly entertaining (although spamming rattk button can get tiresome). Another benefit is it's quite low-cost on ammo.

What do you mean by "get a linkshell"? HNM, sky, limbus? If you're doing hard stuff, I've heard that you need quite a bit of MND to avoid getting regularly resisted. How much I can't say since I don't actually have experience with it. I'm a big fan of bow, just because the sweet spot is often just outside the limits on a lot of mob AoEs.

AV operates like an Aern reraise. If you kill JoL at its spawn and stand there, AV will pop on you similar to an Aern respawning (he'll have hate). If you kill JoL away from its spawn, then AV will pop and have hate on no one, because no one is around to have hate on.

However AV picks his first target when he does go after someone on pop (probably the person with the most hate on JoL when JoL died), if that person is out of range he will not chase and start killing. Not sure exactly what the range is, but I'm guessing that the typical distance a tank would stand from JoL is just inside it.

Proximity of JoL death to the JoL ??? has nothing to do with it, since AV pops at the point JoL dies, only proximity between the spot where JoL died and where AV spawned.

I assume you mean Ninja Tekko +1, and if so, that.

    Re: Randomer Question Thread

I'm leveling bonecraft at the moment - and let's say for research's sake I want to find out what level the subcrafts for igqira weskit are. My leather is 35, alchemy 0.

    1) Has anyone tried to find the subcraft levels before?
    2) Will the 15 level rule apply for all subs? (i.e. if the craft was sub 40 leather 40 alchemy, I wouldn't be able to make it until I had 25 alchemy, right?)
    3) Is there any algorithm I could use to find both subcraft levels at the same time?

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Randomer Question Thread

    From Kirschy's Haste topic...

"The original idea was that if you had "25%"(Printed Value) of haste eq, you really only had 250/1024 haste, which 6/1024 shy of the cap. I said adding a blitz ring, or shooting for a total of "26%"(Printed Value) made sure you actualli hit the Eq Cap."

So yes, you need full Blessed+1 and Goliard/Swift, can't get away with only two Blessed+1 pieces... (On that note, 0/90 on Blessed+1 pumps and the magical 26% mark myself...)

What's the best way to skill up parrying on purpose? I'm 40 points away from capping out on SAM, but I can get my skill up to about 255 with gear. Parrying has started to really come in handy lately and I'd like to bring it up to full potential.

When you throw one of the winds (artic, antartic etc..) at gods, does it get rid of the enspell for the rest of the fight, or can they reapply it?

Chigoe are popular. The stage 1 relic GK (dmg 1, delay 999) is ideal for not killing stuff. Of course you can also just use any crappy weapon.

Or, engage a mob that's out of your range that you aren't fighting so you can still parry and not worry about what weapon you're using.

    Don't need Widescan.

There are four sections to the room, two birds per quadrant + the PH.

The PH will be the only one you ever see crossing from one section to the other.

Also: Any quadrant with two birds of the same type is the one with the PH, watch for one of the duplicated type to cross the line between quadrants and kill it.

yeah, definitely the preferred method, since it allows you to use an earth/terra's staff for additional dmg reduction. that, paired with arhat's head and body and askar feet, and i don't even have to have a support mage helping me out(that said, i only ever work with two chigoes at a time, since my parrying is only in the 150s).

    Re: Randomer Question Thread

If you think that me helping you get claim on Mee Deggi more often, and get a pair of Impact Knuckles means I'm a hero, then you are very confused.

That also works for Quu Domi btw, just different Ph mobs (opposite of the mobs on the center pedestal, naturally) to look for.
