I'd go 5x LR Recast and then either 5x LR Effect or 5x SE Recast. Personally I go for 5x LR Recast/Effect. LR Recast/Effect is globally useful whereas SE Recast is only useful in a few situations. Basically with 5x LR Recast/Effect you get a 30 second Berserk every 4:10 with haste 15%, effectively.

Desperate Blows is a group 2 merit.

A couple weeks ago, I read something somewhere on the forums here, I don't remember where, about h2h skill affecting your base dmg and not just your acc/atk. How exactly does this work?

For every 10 H2H skill you have you gain 1 base damage.

To figure out your base damage divide your H2H skill by 10, floor it, add your weapon damage, and add 3.

The LR Effect is nice, but Souleater is literally ten times better.

3x Desperate Blows, 2x Dark Seal, 1x Diabolic Eye

Diabolic Eye is useful for Wind Wall'd dragons and Fafnir and Kirin and the like, but it's not worth meriting to 3. Desperate Blows is obviously, Dark Seal is useful but nothing to go crazy over.

Alternatively you can merit 5x Souleater and do 5x LR Effect so that you keep both JAs on the same 5-minute timer to get the most out of the 15% haste (meaning swinging 15% faster with Souleater up). I prefer having the LR recast lower, though, to use it more often.

Pretty certain there is none. Only thing you can do is /item "Item" <t> which has no syntax for a stack of "Item"

I've read Up In Arms is doable with 3 bsts, anyone know if it's doable/regularly winnable with just 2 bsts?

Maybe with the reward timer change.
Also Snarl will allow you to melee and speed things up. Previously you would have to get really lucky with tp moves to kill it with 2. So yeah, I would imagine 2 bsts spamming reward and fighting with their pets till lower hp levels and using snarl to keep hate on pets, could kill it reliably, but it would cost more money for sure.

How does the extra Assault tag from Captain rank work? Does the guy store 4 tags instead of 3 now, or is it something different? Haven't heard a decent explanation on how it works yet.

when the ToAU jobs were first introduced, it was said that Cor/Brd and Brd/Cor would only be able to have a maximum of 2 effects up at one time, but recently I was in a manaburn (leeching) as a COR/BRD and had 2 rolls and ballad up... but I dont remember this change being mentioned in any of the patch notes? Is there still a 2 buff limit for cor/brd and brd/cor and although 3 icons are displayed only 2 effects will work? Or was this patched and I didn't notice it?

This was patched, you can get full effects now as COR/BRD, not sure about BRD/COR. I know many people that recommended COR/BRD for pure support at mid-levels, but I never tried it.

To add onto the 5 tags thing. You don't need Captain to get them, only 51/51(50 + 1 nyzul) to get the extra tag.

Pretty sure that Captain just gives you free Runic/Ruins/Whatever else it gives. I still haven't done the missions to finish up.

@callisto: thanks, yea that's what I thought. It was decent using cor/brd for manaburns (despite the nerf to wizards roll) since the extra 1MP from ballad 1 made up for not always being able to roll a 5/10/11

@secksi yeah this is correct, completing 51/51 assaults and then speaking to the tag holder guy will allow you to hold an extra tag, although it's required that you clear all assault before you rank up to captain. The benefits of captain itself are merely being able to use the runic portal for free (although you still have to talk to the taru and go through the same selections as buying a permit, meaning you can't get permits if the candy is gone and it still takes just as much time as if your were actually paying for them), and you can enter alzadaal for free from any of the guarded entrances without using a silverpiece/salvage permit.

I personally would go with Paluwhan Seraweels, or possibly Denali Kecks as the backup.

Is the regen really that bad on King V to wait for day to fight?

Edit: Nvm just tryed it with 12 melee's at night and went as fast as it would if we fought it during the day

I always thought the the regen thing was a rumor, and a false rumor at that O_o
