another Q: pole strap or mythril +1? I have brutal, so 7% DA with /sam. how does that stack up against the 2 str 2 acc on mythril? (on weaponskills)

I would always use Pole Strap over Mythril+1 just using the logic that despite the 2% DA being a random chance of adding to a WS's damage and a random chance of not contributing at all, the extra damage it adds far exceeds the 2str/2acc difference on the mythril+1, even supposing it does only land 1/50 of the WSs (which, with your stacked DA, it will land far more).

if i trade this douchebag salvage guy all my morrigan stuff, then i wanna store marduk...can i get back all the morrigan stuff and have him store the marduk?

The easiest way to take out all of one set and put in another is to tell him you want to choose a new set; he'll then spit out every piece of armor he's storing in one shot. Way better than having to go through his emo spiel removing each piece at a time.

Are you sure? From what I've heard, if you choose a different set, whatever's stored is lost to the void...

I've done this several times, switching between Skadi and Marduk as I completed pieces from each, so as to always have the maximum number of inventory spaces saved. It definitely works as I described.

The should, though its reaaaaally hard to tell when/if those are even taking effect, but of course every little thing counts.

If its of any help, I as WHM have resisted the occasional paralyze from the goblins in Dynamis, the occasional petrify, etc. Though it could be just luck.


@Tricen: FFXI frame rate works with the clock of the PC or something like that it was in the previous random thread or somewhere around, too lazy to search for it. Its "normal" though you may or may not get banned

Doesn't matter, you swap your current hp with your current mp at the time you use the job ability. You can use convert hp to mp gear and it's not any special rule.

It was originally a rumor, but pretty quickly thrown down.

I had all Skadi 15/25s stored while I waited on 35s, and just took out the Skadi stuff to switch to Morrigan when I got a piece done to trade in. Saves a lot of storage space. If you're only upgrading one set at the moment, but have another in mind down the line, I'd definently suggest just storing them with the NPC and taking them out when you get a piece finished for your main set. Saves on storage while saving on waiting again for drops, win win.

I'll be monitoring the thread until around 10pm EST tonight, if you've got something you want a quick answer to, I've probably got the answer and if it stays slow here at work, I'll be able to keep checking the topic nonstop too.

What is the best combination of Warrior Group 1 Merits for a WAR which uses Axe/Axe and Great Axe (doesn't use neither Joyeuse nor Ridill). I'm guessing Berserk 3, Aggressor 3, Double Attack 4.

Can BLU/NIN solo savage blade NM? I know I duo'd it as NIN/WAR and BRD easy, but I'm trying to get my wife to solo some stuff so she doesn't suck so bad.

4/3/3 is hard to go wrong with for Gaxe/Axe.

Some will still argue that 20 seconds more Bergressor will win out over 4% DA, and to them I say "nah-nah-nah-nah-boo-boo, stick your head in doo doo" and claim it as a valid argument, cause 21% DA is neater than 17%.

Roughly 21 Accuracy makes a mob check Low Eva, I think.
