Why are WHMs broken in the head?

This doesn't account for all WHMs but it seems a lot of the female population in ffxi play WHM.

While some of the crazier ones have been female, it seems to be evenly spread out. My main beef is this: [rant]I know maybe A(1; singular) 75 WHM who does not simultaneously bitch incessantly when being asked to come to something as WHM and throw a complete fucking shitfit if they are told that they aren't being considered first for any given WHM drop because they always bitch about having to play WHM. Why level the job to 75 if you hate it so much? Why tell LS' that you even have 75 WHM if you never, ever want to use it? And why give a fuck whether or not you get gear for a job that you never, ever want to play because you hate it so much?![/rant]

Best WHM I've ever played with was female.

I leveled WHM to 75 just in case I had to go on it. And to complete my spell book, and get all mages 75.

... mainly the latter two. But fuck if I went somewhere on WHM--I was nearly just as effective with crazy -enmity on RDM anyway.

does the sha'ir crackows synth have an abnormal break rate? i remember hearing this somewhere but uhh for real what is it?

The more subcrafts you add to a synth, the more likely it will break. No idea how many this has, and don't feel like looking it up.

Does Sandworm have auto-regen?

Yes, but with a random pickup of two war/sam's, a bst/nin, and a thf/nin it was a simple matter of surviving the random TPing/seeming hate reset, to whittle it down to 80% or so, before the only worm I've personally fought apparently pissed of the Bastok 2nd Legion, and got wrecked.

Regarding Savage Blade.

Me and a Bst friend got back there to see what was up for a solo attempt.

Found there is ONE charmable mob back there, but luckily a couple of JP's farming were happy to see we only wanted the WSNM and not to compete for the antican NM's, Thf tanked (I was war/dnc) with Accomplice and such, Bst snarling, Rdm and myself curing/DDing, wasn't bad at all.

Also, regarding Fast Cast vs Haste on spellcasting recast: RDM AF hat would be roughly the same as 5% haste, AF2 body 5%, Loq earring 1%?

Yes and no. The calculation is MAB/MDB, so if your target has an MDB, the increase is going to be different. In most cases, though, you're right.

Not quite, and not for the reasons Ferien stated. The way in which the MAB term accumulates means that you have to compare your new total MAB to your old, not just the bonus from a given piece.

For instance if you are a 75 BLM (MAB+32) with 5/5 potency merits (+10), and moldavite, NQ weskit, zenith mitts and yigit feet (+18) then you have MAB+60. If you add a novio (MAB+7) you now have MAB+67, so your new damage is going to be roughly 1.67/1.60 = 4.4% higher than it was before. So if you were doing 1200 damage before, you add the MAB+7 and it's going to be around 1252, not the 1284 you'd expect from a 7% increase in damage.

The mob's MDB, and the fact that MAB/MDB is calculated as a single term in the damage equation is actually irrelevant, except for if you are trying to calculate the exact damage in a particular scenario. A mob's MDB isn't going to affect the relative benefits from adding MAB, only the overall damage as compared to some other mob with the same INT and no MDB.

Before the current system appeared, there has been World transfers campaigns from over-populated world to under-populated worlds.

My friend claims his old characters have seen several different worlds through this system. What made me raise my eyebrows is he added that each transfer required a 500,000g fee and made the character lose all of their RAR/EX items. I've heard of the world transfers before but never heard of either of these two conditions, which I find hard to believe (esp. the rar/ex thing...). Is my friend whooshing me? Can anyone who used the service confirm/infirm?

Pile of Bullshit lol SE offered the transfers free of charge etc to populate new servers or release preasue for overpopulated ones. You just talked to an NPC in the town and signed up. All chars were then moved together at a predesignated date.

As like now you would lose all items in your in- and outbox and the items on AH. Rest of your shit remained untouched of course.
