    Re: LOST Season 4

just watched the episode, all i can say is OH SHET.

I hope Desmond & Sayid are ok...fuck Aaron, get to the Scottsman and the pseudo-Arab.

goddamnit, I shouldn't have gotten into Lost until like the week before the series finale, so I could just watch it all in a row.

i hate having to wait a week...at least episodes are 42mins long.

Charlie's death scene was tough to watch, but damn if I wasn't jumping with joy at seeing him gone. His "Driveshaft" centric episodes were just horrible.

I think everyone else (or at least a good chunk of them) is still alive, but still on the island. Locke and the rest of the surviving non-Oceanic Six have just decided to stay on the island. The Oceanic 6 are lying about them being dead to keep investigators from going back and interfering with the island more than they already have. There is a reason Ben (and Alpert before him) has been protecting the island from being found the whole time. Now that he has left the island (if he has indeed left in permanently), Locke is the new "Ben" with an entirely new cult following (the crash survivors who are now the "New Others") intent on protecting the island. Claire leaving Aaron, however, makes me think she might be dead, which shoots a bit of a hole in my theory.
Claire could have just as easily given Aaron to Kate to get him off the island.

Yeah, but then why doesn't Jack "approve" of Aaron? There's SOMETHING they did to get off that island, whether it involved tricking the rest to get off, or somehow leaving them in a bad situation, that makes me think that's why Jack doesn't want to see Aaron. It'll remind him of what they did. In S3 Finale, everyone's calling him a hero and stuff, and he's like "AM I?" (or something to that effect) There's gotta be a reason why he's so guilty, there's gotta be a reason why they don't want anyone to think anyone is alive back on the island.

    Re: LOST Season 4

Well, didn't Desmond see Claire & Aaron both getting off the island? Where's Claire now? We also don't know who was in the casket in Jack's flashforward -- someone mentioned it might have been Michael, but where was Walter?

Also, Aaron is now considered part of the Oceanic 6? So that makes it J, K, H, A, S, and if next episode is about Desmond, I'm guessing it's natural he'd be the sixth.

We have the strand that there were 8 survivors -- Michael & Walt could be the other 2 that weren't part of the "second wave" of survivors (JKHASD).

Writing out the letters of the possible Oceanic 6 (if Desmond is a possibility), I think it would have been shweet if Jack, Kate, and Sayid had names that started with RMA, so you'd have "DHARMA" as the initials of the survivors (doesn't work with last names either, because DHASKJ would be HRLJAS).

I'm not even convinced that's Claire's Aaron. For all we know, Aaron dies on the island and Kate names hers after him in its honor.

Naah that's a cheap shot at a plot twist, not Lost's style. If she says Aaron, that's Aaron.

Yea, I agree. Plus, if it isn't Claire's Aaron, how long has it been since they've left the Island?

I can't wait until they show the Island sans-Oceanic 6.

Desmond wasn't on the plane though.

Mmm...Good point. It'll be cleared this week hopefully.

I had a thought that maybe Aaron wasn't part of the Oceanic 6, and that Kate started taking care of Sawyer's girl (the one he left with the lady he conned, who has a connecting story with Kate -- forget her name), but then I remembered, it was Sawyer's girl.

So if Aaron is part of O6, then we have 5 names, with a Desmond episode coming up. So then there are a few possibilities that come to mind:

    1) Desmond dies before the rescue & prior to the flashforward timeline.
    -God I hope not.

    2) Desmond is still on the island
-This excites me, because that means a lot of shit going down that will surely make some great episodes. If this is the case, the upcoming Desmond episode will give us information on those left on the Island (assuming of course that the rest of the folk were left there). We'd also line ourselves up for a potentially huge storyline between Desmond & Sayid on their way to the freighter -- namely, why Sayid was rescued while Desmond wasn't.

    3) Desmond was rescued, but he's simply not considered part of the O6 (Jack mentions "8 survivors")
-It's not the style of the show to play it like this, I don't think. When we're given O6, I take that to mean only 6 people came back, the 2 other survivors died somewhere on the Island, according to the fabricated story.

Obviously, a lot more possibilities, those are just a few that come to my mind.

I completely agree. I think it is either this or somehow Claire is dying or in danger when they are all trying to get off the Island and Jack somehow fails to save her. Knowing Jack's personality this is what causes him to not be able to see Aaron because he doesn't want to be reminded of his failure. This wasn't the best episode ever but was still pretty solid imo. Next week looks great.

Agreed. Maybe they found out that they were half siblings and she died shortly after. Aaron probably brings back some pretty horrible memories. You figure him being the Uncle he would take care of him, maybe that would led him to a slightly better life than where he ends up at.

I don't believe I have, are those the same as the mobisodes? I'd like to get a hold of them if you'd be so kind.

Conversely, why is Kate so attached to this baby which isn't even hers? A baby that she didn't even have the confidence to hold beforehand. Just seems strange that she's picking a baby over an obviously good guy who she has cared for before, and obviously still does. More and more I'm thinking the decision to do what they did (what Jack is feeling guilty about) was almost entirely Jack's idea, and almost as if Kate is holding it against him.

I think Jack held some things back from the 06 about their escape from the island, basically how it planned out, what had happened to the rest of them (why they ALL weren't leaving, just the 6 of them) and they didn't come to learning about the whole story until it was too late. The one thing that Kate and Hurley have in common with their interactions with Jack is a sort of animosity, there's definitely an uneasiness that was created for some reason.

Also I was talking about this with someone, perhaps the person in the coffin is claire? Perhaps she doesnt count as the 06 because she was dead on her way back home, but still made it back. Would make sense why A) Jack is guilty about it, and B) Why Kate said she didn't want to go...because she has her baby and wouldn't feel right. I dunno its a possibility, also the fact that it was a short casket, makes me think it was a young boy or a short female.

Didn't read that whole site, nor leave the first page But I saw this sentence :

Are we completely controlled by fate, or do we have the ability to change what’s already happened in the future?
The writers already said they weren't going to make multiple endings/alternate realities/"What if" scenarios.

If the rest isn't like that i'll read more at home.

edit : Missing peices episodes are mobisodes, look em up on youtube, great ones with Ethan talking about his wife.

I thought the one that is supposed to take place right before the first episode begins kind of interesting, considering some of the questions people are having.

If you don't know, it has Christian Sheppard calling Vincent and telling him to go find and wake up his son, he has work to do.

    Mobisodes (Missing Pieces):

Episode Descriptions with links to transcripts.

ABC.com - Videos. (Note, they automatically start playing in reverse order (newest/last first))

DarkUfo Link (Has a player installed on site that plays them all.) - Reccommended.

Note: The DarkUfo link is just to the one posting with the video player. There are no spoilers listed on the page unless it's in the comments. Also, the Mobisodes are numbered from 1-13, so if you start with 1, it'll go to 2 automatically once it's done and so on.

    Re: LOST Season 4

So a few weeks ago I said to myself "Man, there's nothing on TV except Lost." For some reason I never gave it a chance and since all my other "big" shows are all off-air at the moment (24, Heroes, etc), I said well hell, lets give it a shot. Got S1 and that was that, the last 3 weeks of my life have been comprised of 2-5 episodes of Lost a night in order to catch up to where we are now. I'm an official addict.

I'll skip the S1-3 comments since I'm sure everyone's already seen it and knows what I'm going to say, except for this (it urked me to oblivion when I saw it): the Nikki/Paolo episode where they die was probably the most jump-sharkiest thing I've ever seen, but I'm glad it was just a one-episode sidetrack to get rid of them. Everytime they happened upon a big mystery of S1/2 (the plane where Boone died, the suitcase with the guns, etc), huge sighs of orz were let out and extreme disappointedness ensued. Lost has since righted itself in a major way, so I'll just call this the black swan of all the episodes.

After reading this, it provides the most probable insight into why Jack took the newspaper clipping as hard as he did. I was trying to think of who could've possibly driven him to suicide: Kate was alive, Sawyer no, Locke hellll no, Hurley no, possibly Juliet. With this last episode (Kate having Aaron) it strongly suggests the person in the casket is probably Claire.

From a critical standpoint, something has to be done with her since Charlie's arc is finished, and this would suit the bill quite nicely. Same goes for Jin/Sun... they're getting pretty boring now.

    I love Lost.
