I love this show, period.
Desmond always has great episodes, the type that completely redefine where the show is heading.
I approve this message.Originally Posted by Groovebox

Holy FUCK.
That was the most well acted and well directed episode of LOST ever...Desmond...man that guy can fucking act. I hope he wins an award for this episode. I fucking cried. LOL.
I'm so glad Desmond isn't going the way of Charlie lol
So I was browsing another lost site and a summary of the episode said we found out what the "sickness" on the island was. Did anyone catch what they are referring to?
Edit - Nevermind, apparently people are thinking that the 'sickness', as Roussou described it in earlier seasons, was when everyone was dying because of becoming unstuck in time.
This episode ripped so many f'n emotion out of me
I was amazed and somehow amazingly followed the whole story through without going WTF?
I understood the constant and the end was the f'n kicker of Farady looking through his journal
This episode rocked hard, Desmond really got me teary eyed with the penny phone conversation
Loved the cutting/finishing each others line..meant for each other
Goddammit I cant wait....I need more Lost NOWWWWWW!!!!!!
Please explain the constant thing to me then please.Originally Posted by GraveRobberX
Like Faraday said: Something that exists in the time you are and the time you flash back to so you don't loose youself and die like that one dude did.Originally Posted by Andarvi
I think it's safe to say that Faraday is time jumping like Desmond.Originally Posted by Andarvi
On another note, I think it's really creative how the writers are approaching time travel. instead of physically traveling through time it's your mind... at least that's how I understood it when Faraday explained it.
Also... the Black Rock journal auction at the end was pretty fucking huge as far as theories go >.> Widmore wanting the journal that has never been read... obviously it was written by someone that had been to the island during the 17th century or w/e. Huge.
Good lord.. I think I have a new favorite episode. Watching Penny and Desmond talk like that put a tear in my eye, warmed the heart, ect. Beautiful episode and just.. amazing as usual when it comes to Desmond. I was really wondering why he was in Jail for dishonorable discharge. Now I know.. all of that interfered.
As for Penny's father, as soon as the Black Rock was even mentioned I knew he would be in there. I can bet you anything those people on the boat are linked to him, Abadon, the team. Just like Henry Gale.
That preview for next week oh man.. I can't believe that dumb bitch Charlotte is going to go around looking like she's going to kill everyone. So lame, I hope no one of importance dies. It showed Daniel in a suit, I am guessing that someone is going to take him to a station.
With that being said.. I truly hope I live long enough to finish Lost. Now I don't mean that my life is pathetic to depend on a show like that. I mean like.. no stupid war, no meteor wiping out the earth, no global warming melting the planet, no chaos dunk, stuff like that. Abrams had better win some awards for this truly amazing season.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, unreal episode tonight. Desmond has been [and is proving again and again why he's] one of my favorite (and one of the best) characters on the show.
But yeah, someone asked about the constant thing: back in 1996 Daniel wrote in his notepad thing that Desmond will be his constant should anything go wrong, so now (in 2004), he looks at it again and confirms it.
Usually episodes without The Big 3 (Jack/Kate/Locke) have been rather lackluster, but man, tonight delivered.
EDIT: Did anyone else get a 2-hour special thingy with last week's episode having this "Pop Up Video" kinda feel to it? I thought it was a great idea and actually gave some new insight into a few things...
That's been the standard this season, before each new episode they show the previous week's episode 'enhanced'. It's kind of nice for those who missed a week I suppose, I usually end up watching them just to see what they thought was important enough to earn a little blurb.Originally Posted by Epical

If that's the standard this year, I'll make sure to catch it every week then. Loved those little popups.
I'm glad they show the previous week's episode before the new one since sometimes I conveniently have to work when Lost is on. Tonight's episode was really good. As someone else mentioned, I liked the idea of one's consciousness time-traveling rather than a physical time travel. That was pretty neat.Originally Posted by Jer
Also everything between Desmond and Penny, I was just really glad when he finally got her on the phone. The only thing I hate is my fucking time zoneI can't talk about this show with my broskis until like 3 hours after everyone else has watched it and sum ppl try to spoil it for me. gogo pacific time zone

amazing amazing amazing episode
popping up a theory at the end too:
jacob is in fact christian shephard's "mind," as in his consciousness is "unstuck" somehow, and exists today in a spirit form with no physical body
