What. the. fuck. just. happened. How could they kill her off! Gahh for the first time, I'm extremely pissed at Lost. And in such a shitty way...she survives for 16 years on her own, avoiding death at every turn, then bam, she gets shot & she's dead? I sense treachery a foot. Make it up to me Lost by bringing her (and her flash-)back.

Ben keeps 1-upping himself each episode, with how conniving he is. And I think he's an interesting twist on the "evil genius" bit because he's so convinced that he is "good."

I actually didn't like the episode. Even before the wtf-ending (at least Alex lives. She's annoying, but at least she's better than Kate). I'm actually missing episodes from main characters. I really want more than 2 minutes total from Locke & Sawyer. To a less extent Jack, Kate, Desmond, Sayid, mainly because we've had hour-long episodes from each of them recently.

Rousseau isn't dead. Her character and story has so much potential and generally has been unexplored. Especially since I consider her a main story character we haven't seen a flashback involving her, whatever we know are things that are told to us by other characters.

But Carl is dead, no one gives a shit about Carl.

It helps that Office comes back on April 12th, but I now have nothing on TV to look forward to during the course of the week.

Was browsing some ONTD this morning, and I came across this:

Let's take this time to talk about one of the past mysteries on the show that has never been explained (yet, anyway): the four-toed statue that some of the islanders found in the season two finale. What the hell was that all about? What did it mean? How come no one has pointed a gun at Ben and asked him, "oh yeah, what the heck is that statue with the toes?" In some ways it's more mysterious and funky than the black smoke and Jacob.

Now Lost producer Damon Lindelof explains why we haven't seen the statue on the show since then.



t the annual Paley Festival being held in Hollywood, CA, Lindelof explains that after ABC saw the episode with the statue, they got a note back from ABC execs saying that they thought it was "too weird." They actually wanted them to change the statue from being four-toed to being six-toed. And yes, like the rest of us, Lindelof has no idea why a six-toed statue is less weird than one with four toes.

So who knows if we'll ever get an answer as to what that was all about. I hope we do, since it was a big event that came in a major episode. Maybe the last line in the series can be Sayid saying "wait a second, we never did find out what that statue was..." And then the screen can fade to black and Journey's "Don't Stop Believin' " can play.

if anyone listens to the damon&carlton podcast they did mention the statue in the last one, and i tihnk they said it was coming back, so yay!

hell... season 2 Michael shoots Ana-Lucia, Libby, AND himself with no clarity in whether or not they died. Libby even comes back for the next episode (and subsequent flashbacks etc... she was even in the latest episode).. so clearly we haven't heard the last of Rousseau!

but anyway i really hope to hear more about Rousseau soon.. I was even thinking how awesome her flashback would be before she got capped

on a side note.. my friend for a while had a theory that Rousseau was originally on the Black Rock and that while she thinks she has been on the island for 16 years it has actually been decades longer then that due to the time/space paradox going on in the show.. i thought it was baloney but it was still probable for a short while especially with Walt returning looking much older.

Your friend could be right, I thought of this too, but seems a bit suss considering her testimony is she gave birth to alex on the island, 16 years ago, and alex seems to be around that age right now.

Been reading rumours/spoilers/info during the break. Mainly just stuff said by the Cuse & Lindeloff (sp) and production type stuff.

4.11 (assumed) looks like it'll be a very interesting episode if what was reported was true. (Someone who lives in Hawaii and sees the sets/filming sometimes posted, so it's all just speculation.)

Did Jack meet Mikhail? If so, I think he would be able to put two and two together once he found the missing eye. Could it be either of the two women from the Looking Glass? I think a more likely answer is that it could be someone from the freighter. Minkowski died, not sure what the crew did with his body. It could also be the chick who jumped off the freighter, if she somehow got untangled from her chains and drifted back to the surface. Or, if you want to go way back, it could be Kelvin, who Desmond killed on a rock outcropping the day Oceanic 815 crashed.

I don't see how it could be Charlie since his body is stuck in the receiver room plus Jack would recognize it as Charlie unless it's horribly disfigured or something. I'm betting on Mikhail as others have said.
