Been waiting for this since the season finale of 3 and to only be given 8 episodes after almost a fucking year. It's complete bullshit, fuck the writers strike.

A huge prediction of mine since around the time he was first brought up... Christian Shephard is Jacob. The fact that it shows him in what looks to be Jacob's cabin, that he's linked to so many characters off the island, that Jack didn't find his body in his coffin, and finally during the finale a few references to him being alive were made. (In the pharmacy, the lady was going to call him as if he was living, the argument with the new chief of medicine) All just really make me think it's him. What better character anyway?

When they showed Hurley looking in Jacob's house, I swear that looked like Christian Shepard in the chair.

It was Shepard. It showed Jacob real fast, then Christian. I remember seeing a screen shot of him sitting in the chair from one of the promos that was airing.

Interesting scene at the end between Jack and Hurley. It sounds like Locke is somehow in control of the island and the people and is trying to get them back there.

charlie looked pretty badass in this episode. too bad he died. was one of my favorite characters. sayid is still the #1 badass though. they need to up his role.

The Oceanic thing during Eli Stone was pretty cool, it was basically a commercial for a Golden Pass, however the screen got all static-like and some dude cut in saying that they are liars and that they found it, it then cut to a picture of flight 815's plane... looked like it was in snow or something, maybe underwater? It will be on Youtube soon.

Richard Alpert, the man Ben (as a Child) found in the forest while running after an image of his mother. The only difference between Richard back then, and 30 years later (now), is his hair is shorter. He showed no visible sign of aging

I'm thinking this has less to do with some form of anti-aging power of the island, and more towards the "Kasmir effect" that was talked about during the orchid teaser video

also, the man standing behind Hurley talking about charlie staring at him, I believe that man was also in Hurley's imagination

Yes it is Jack's father. I really think it was either John Locke or maybe Richard in the cabin with him. I am not sure at this point. Good lord I loved this season premiere. Seeing everyone in the future... so miserable, so scared, uneasy really dug a hole in my heart. I get the feeling only six were released and the lives of the others are being compromised if they don't say a word about well whatever it is Jack was making sure Hurley didn't speak about. It's so insane, I get the feeling the final season will be the flash forwards being resolved.

Charlie is dead. 99% sure it was confirmed by one of the producers or something.

Wowwwww soo good. I still think jack sucks, he was awesome in Season 1, S2/3 he felt like a (much needed) thorn in everyone's side, let's see if the show keeps writing him up in the same context.

I am so dissapointed about the whole 8 episodes thing. Writer strike needs to be resolved before a fan strike starts.

Couldn't agree more (as usual) LW. The whole reason we waited this long was to avoid a pause in mid season like the previous seasons and now it's happened again. It's utter bullshit, it makes me feel like I waited all this time for nothing, they should have just aired them Fall '07.

Oceanic 6, what do you guys think? My thoughts...

Desmond saw Claire and Aaron leave the island on a helicopter, so let's assume for a minute that it actually does happen (I have absolutely no reason to believe otherwise):

Jack, Hurley, Kate, Claire (w/ Aaron)

This leaves 1 or 2 more people as being part of the "Oceanic 6"

You can choose to believe that Claire and Aaron are 1, a singular representation of those 6 people, or you can believe that they are both being counted as a person and thus taking up 2 of the 6 "slots", per se.

So if there are two remaining "slots" left of the O6:
My guess would be Jin + Sun
If there's one slot left (assuming Aaron is considered one of the six):
Sun, perhaps Jin dies, decides to stay behind, or something else.

I strongly believe that Claire, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sun, and Aaron are the ones who return though. Whether or not Jin comes along as well, I can't say
