More reasons to validate my theory, "she" keeps pushing away from daniel, not letting herself be too caring about him, because she doesn't want him to find out she just has a giant surgical scar in her pants.
Possible I guess. But wouldn't she react diferently to Kate? Since she did raise Aaron as her son.
Wow what a great finale, but QQ about Jin and Locke
What I want to know is... what the hell happened on the island? They got away from Widmore, his men are dead. In the future it was implied he was still looking for the island, so it's obviously not his doing at all.
I have always had a theory that Christian was the center of all of this, and as of now it still stands. I mean why was he speaking for Jacob in the first place? Where is Jacob? I think a little takeover has happened, maybe moving the island wasn't what Jacob wanted at all, remember Christian said not to mention anything about him or Claire. He probably fooled Locke into thinking that he was doing something great and would be rewarded but in the end banishes him. No ideas on how or why he is dead though, it really makes me sad.
Jacob IMO is the scary black guy (Abaddon) who told Locke about the walkabout, and who asked Hurley if everyone was still alive on the island on the season 4 premiere.
Well this is all I could come up with for now.
Okay here's what I think.
Jack is actually the chosen one. The island has done damn near everything to keep him from leaving. This is the most obvious of choices, as Christian is showing up with such importance. John Locke is merely a vessel of transferance. From one cup holder to the next. John Locke isn't a hunter. He's not a leader. He's a scientist.
Christian really has never had any level of importance, and Jack's episodes have always been /emo. But I think that everyone has always assumed that the main character of the show was Jack Shephard. And with that assumption, we can assume he's the main protagonist. Everyone cheers for him & Kate, we see and feel his pain. Most people relate to him, I'd say, better than they would Locke, or especially Linus ()
And right now, in flashforwards, we're watching him overcome the struggles of becoming the "hero" he's supposed to be. And in the end of the show, he'll be clutching himself in a cold dark garbage vent, with winds rushing up past him, screaming back at the island.
<The Island> Jack... I am your father....
<Jack> Nooo! It's not possible!
<The Island> Join me and together, we shall rule the Indian Ocean... Father and son!
And then we'll move onto Act III of Lost: Muppets on the Island. Where Skeeter and Libby will have deep discussions on Skeeter not having imaginary people living in his head, and small furry ewoks (Others???) will threaten to cook Fozzy (Locke???) alive. And Kermit (Jack!) will save the day, and do the nasty with Miss Piggy.
Wait....
Hiding everything behind a spoiler just incase some haven't seen the episode~
[spoiler:1ntw2cjm]If the island just moved forward in time though, couldn't Widmore just station a boat nearby to wait till it reappeared sometime in the future?
Also, it seems Ben's time traveled now. Unless he was wandering in the desert for weeks/months/years, he must have skipped some time for the episode where Sayid buries Nadia and joins him to make sense.
And what is Sun planning with Widmore. As far as getting the Oceanic 6 back to the island, Sayid seems he'll listen to Ben, Hurley is more or less kidnapped, and Jack needs to get back. Kate obviously won't want to go or bring Aaron, so who knows how that'll work. But Sun seems like she's gonna be working for/with/using Widmore and if she blames Jack for Jin's deaths till, seems they'll be on opposing sides.
And as far as Charlotte goes, did that girl Ben knew as a child die in the purge? My friends and I were thinking since the island's time is off from the rest of the world, she might be the girl, and that'd explain why she's younger than Ben.
Arggg so many questions -- when's season 5 starting >.>;[/spoiler:1ntw2cjm]
Great Finale. I wanted it to go on for Four hours. Having said that..
Godammit Godammit Godammit! Not enough answers! Too many new questions! Someone joked to me that people wouldn't watch it next season if they answered everything to which I replied, it would take 5 full episodes with nothing but answers to answer everything. Don't get me wrong, I love Lost. Was hoping for something, anything more in the reveals dept. Well, there was the casket, but that just leads to more questions..
[spoiler:1mly099y]I thought it was a good episode, although I had a hunch Locke was in the coffin, especially after Kate's reaction to the name. I figured it was either him or Sawyer and there's no way Kate would have reacted in the same manner if it was Sawyer. I think having the person in the coffin be Locke really gives them a large enough plot twist to captivate the viewer for another season or two. The writers for this show are top-notch.
Personally, I enjoyed the season 3 finale more. Nothing really tops this episode except for Desmond's "time travel" episode this season. Best episode imo.[/spoiler:1mly099y]
If anyone hears anything about the alternate endings can they post it here? I didn't wake up early enough to catch it on Good Morning America or whatever they showed it on.
The only questions that need to be answered is "what is the island". Once we know that, everything else will make sense.Originally Posted by grantlogan

Player doesn't work for me (work internets is weird like that, don't ask), so:
[spoiler:2bpo7kns]Is the only difference who was in the coffin?[/spoiler:2bpo7kns]
Yup.Originally Posted by Norellicus

-Ben confronting Widmore.
Popular Mechanics posted some interesting stuff about the finale. Well worth a read (3 articles) if you have the time:

Those Popular Mechanics articles dealing with physics make me want to go back to college and take physics courses...if only I didn't suck at math...
[spoiler:18syuvpo]Any clue what Sawyer may have whispered to Kate? That was so "Lost in Translation" Bill Murry to ScarJo.
Also WTF at Michael being able to see Christian, and then Christian is like "You can go now." BOOM![/spoiler:18syuvpo]
Awesome episode. Got so many questions about Claire, Christhian, Jin and Michael, but we wont get the answers soon it seem.
[spoiler:1lban3e9]Probably whispered something about his daughter... wouldn't be surprised to see it elaborated on next season.Originally Posted by Norelco
I guess I'll keep my entire post in spoiler tags for now. Since I've had a night to sleep on it, point-form thoughts about last night:
- Saw Locke being in the coffin, wasn't as big of a shock to me as it was to others.
- EXTREMELY disappointed of Juliet's total of 5 minutes screentime.
- Last season's finale was more mind-blowing, but this provided some nice closure on certain issues (Penny+Desmond, Michael dying, actually moving the island, confirming time travel, how Ben got to Tunisia, etc).
- ROFL @ Walt. Whatttttttt.
- OhSHIT'd out loud when Hurley was playing chess with Mr. Eko.
- So?
- Fucking 8 months. They better do some "Find 815" shit again.
- It bothered me how everyone was all hanky-spanky (ESPECIALLY Aaron) when the helicopter crashed in the water.
- Really confused @ Claire's current state. Is she dead from the house explosion? Since Christian went to see Michael before he died, and Claire was with Christian in Jacob's house... that would lead me to believe so. However, if Locke could see them... is he dead too? Idk. D:
- I'm truly interested in Charlotte's story now. Someone mentioned she might be Ben's childhood friend, but that girl had blonde hair and Charlotte's is red.
There's probably more, but that's all I can remember right now.[/spoiler:1lban3e9]
