Well I want to make it clear it was so long ago I can't be as certain as I usually am about stuff like this. Just this is why I'm inclined to believe it doesn't actually work that way.

    *cough*

War legs are the best piece of War relic, far and away. Hands are meh when you have Dusk, feet are wtfrofl until SE makes them add 5-10% to Berserks buff, body would be neat, except it isn't, head is cool if you wanna level parrying/try a dex build without Nhead.

Least the legs are the best WS piece in the slot aside from Are's (and Haidate for RR) which aren't super easy to get either.

As for the drops, I go in assuming nothing but crafting mats and some singles is gonna drop, and I'm rarely disappointed.

I concur, but with a shoutout to Warrior's Stone; it is a very nice Rampage/RR WS piece.

Yeah, I forget about that one sometimes, ever since the Dex 0.8 I just use the Warwolf for RR/Steel Cyclone.

Wish the Crit -2% was Dmg -2% :O

For dual-wieldzorz I'm pretty happy with it, as I only put 4 merits into axe ('cause why put 8 into something that doesn't have GREAT as a prefix?). I'd be interested in knowing your RR set up though, because I've kinda always hated that WS. Steel Cyclone only.

I realize Warrior's legs are not bad, however there are a cheaper alternative out there, and it's a lot easier to get.
But in the AF's listed above, I'm talking about AF2 that gets worn full time or stored away. That's what I think is an issue with some dynamis armor - spending tons of time sometimes for a drop that isn't even worth the trouble.

And in regards to the same mob drops only 1 AF. I don't have proof but I can clearly debunk this, because in Beaucedine, the first pull and kill always leaves a note in my head if AF's drop. Those first two Quadavs from the statue.. a SAM and a WHM I believe - I've seen them drop from the choices of RDM PLD MNK WAR in the zone.

I thought the quadavs were RNG and WHM, or something. Are the Quadavs the ones on the very left-hand side? <_< I forget.

Anyway, a single mob can drop any piece of AF2, and that's for sure. Dynamis - Jeuno I can't be so sure about their currency drops though. I should ID them 2 runs in a row and record the types of currency from each mob.

I was doing a merit after I got my gorget finished (finally) so I could get Virtue Stones (go go 20 stacks!) and swapping between Fort/Ramp/Mbhuj.

Mbhuj puts up a nice steady 800ish Dmg at 100 Tp assuming no DA, it does get sillier with DA's, and I much prefer Mbhuj for stuff outside of meriting, cause Rampager spam gets my ass raped constantly in Limbus/Sea Gods/Sky, rather just get 200 Tp and drop a 1500-2k SC.
Fort jumps around quite a bit, 500-600 here, 1300-1400 there, hard to keep track of them cause you're spamming so much.
Rampager drops 950-1k like clockwork unless I double, seen it go up to 1800 on lolcolis with full doubles/crits, at 100% Tp. Which is kind of hard to beat, especially for a "work in progress" WS set.

This is what I'm planning to test out, assuming luck is with me today and haidate finally fall into my grubby little fingers.

    Main: Rampager
Sub: Claymore or Pole, whichever makes me feel frisky at the moment
    Ammo: Bomb core
Head: Nhead if you got it, I don't so I swap between AF2 mask/Ohat
Neck: Snow (yeah yeah, gorget on multi-hits, gonna have like +45 Dex, 0.1 ftp prz)
    Ear1: Brutal
Ear2: Going to be testing between Str +2 and Dex +2/3 Acc from Hollow
Body: Doing testing between Hauberk/Osode (w/ high dex build)
    Hands: Nhands
    Ring1: Flame
    Raing2: Rajas
    Back: Smilo +1
    Waist: Warwolf
    Legs: Haidate
    Feet: Nfeet

Got an elvaan War in my sky shell that uses Axe/Axe regularly, he's got Nbody and Haidate over me but his Rampage vs my Raging Rush is a draw for the most part right now.

Best thing I've found is try to get up around +40 Str/Dex, then pack on as much extra Str as you can on top of that, that and I <3 my Rampager.

Regarding Full Time piece from Dynamis, while I wouldn't TP in relic legs over haidate, I would probably just say screw it and wear em over barone, just for the change of model.

Even then, for a WS piece that good, and compared to the rest of War relic/af +1, it's worth the effort.

no idea if thats true or not. probably not.
In my experience, at least relative to Xarcabard and Dyna-Bubu... pre-win drops were slim to none, while after beating mega, drops have increased, and had one dyna where we had rdm and thf in the same treasure pool in Xarca.

-WHM - Regen piece, easily overridden by Nobles. Don't even get me started on gloves
Again - my opinion - however, WHM relic body is very nice, especially if you merit regen. 28hp/tick over time for a job that "in general" doesn't take a lot of damage is pretty nice. For merit parties and general activities, that regen can be very nice. It's a macro piece though for certain. WHM relic gloves are also nice for two things: 1.) Enfeebling. I silence everything I can on my whm, and stick it relatively easily. 2.) Great in an old fashioned KRT mnk burn party.

    My two cents...

Didn't see if it was posted directly.

The reason you seem to get more drops when everyone has the win is because going for the win makes you miss a lot of farming.

Kind of seems obvious after the fact, but yeah.

Thanks for the run down, Max.

If you're not going for strict haste build, I would recommend Unicorn cap.. its jaunty, and STR-y.

We don't miss any farming at all when we go for the win and we go with 21-30 people. <_< Single alliance or lower is the only reason to skip monsters...

The reason you see more drops after everyone has the win is because if you didn't get the win the first time, you clearly didn't kill enough anyway. I guess it comes down to what max said. Inexperienced shells get less drops. Then they get more drops as their skill increases (which also happens to coincide with getting the wins).

I'm not sure that Uni cap would outdo Kabuto for Steel Cyclone, 4 Str vs 15 Vit and all, but it should be good for Raging Rush, but for TP I'm a haste whore, and dying to finally see the text "Maxaru obtains a pair of byakko's haidate."

Yeah, your first few glacier/xarc runs will tend to be worse, but combine inexperience with just pulling what you need to get to the win, and yeah drops suck a lot more than going into all the nooks and crannies to kill everything that might drop.

I've kinda relegated Kabuto for /THF, since if I'm running around Steel Cycloning regular-flavour stuff, the Unicorn cap does the job well. And honestly, the real reason is since I can't run in my TP set up I want to look at something adorable instead of a tinfoil helmet.

Sorry to derail, back to Xarc and Beauc.
