Best friend and I are thinking about stopping by to see the chaos since he works near the CoS (more like a splinter set up) here in SD.
If not, at least we're keeping an ear on the ground. Some other friends of ours are going for sure to protest.

Clicking the link takes you to an "Account Suspended" - they've already took it down? >_> Sounds like Scientologists are scared and don't want the world to see that people showed up!![]()

About the masks thing. I was reading about the philly protest, and apparently it's illegal to protest with a mask on here. Punishable with a $75 fine. I think the dust mask are a way around this law. Might want to check your local laws before wearing a mask.Originally Posted by Remy0

about all the municipal and state laws were covered in the insurgency wiki for each location. Most of the masks that are illegal are ones that cover the full face (guy fawkes, gas mask etc.) surgical masks are (in my understanding) never illegal as a majority of people wear them when they are sick or in flu seasons to prevent getting themselves or other people sick. Easily removable for officers to ID you if necessary, plus the cover story.Originally Posted by SupHammer

According to my friend who was at the Edmonton raid:
About 30-40 people gathered for 3ish hours outside the Church of Scientology in Edmonton. However, the church here is small so they were able to surround the church. From what he said, no one was really wearing Guy Fawkes masks (about 4 people wore masks), but wore touques, hoods, scarves and a few people had big sunglasses to protect their anonymity (also it was fairly cold outside, although it was warmer today than it has been in the last couple of weeks). Our local TV station, Global, had showed up on the scene. Expecting it to be on the news in maybe 4 hours. I wasn't at the raid so I can't confirm the exact validity of these statements, just going off what my insider friend told me.
