Nevermind that /Dnc > Any possible /Drg Wyvern benefits.

Endrainga more or less, 200-230 Hp cures, 100 Hp Curagas, and Erase... plus the DD stats are about the same as /Thf Str/Dex wise, but with an Acc bonus/Eva bonus/Subtle Blow tossed in.

You sub Drg to cap gear haste/for Jump/High Jump/Acc bonus/High base Str.

Since i posted it in the other thread and its a job/mechanics adjustment...

    - desired items for winning multiple matches or undergoing a weekly challenge put forth by SE (think like GP... except monster-wise)
    -misc items to be gained

Chocobo Raising/Racing: Id rather SE move away from the gil rewards, it'd just lure in RMT big time and cause issues - especially since its stupidly automatic. If it was manual, or had an option to be manual... id see having big purses as an incentive.

Chocojockey Armor Rewards (the ones the jockeys wear, comes in like 7 colors) with stats along the lines of:
    - increased player movement speed (12%, kinda like sprinter shoes)
    - extra chocobo riding time (better than the jack coats)
    - increased 'chocobo' movement speed (to make peoples slow birds slightly better out in the field or even the rentals)
    - increases 'flee' duration (tack on some time)
    - dispenses 'hermes quenchers' (50 sounds fair, reasonable and quick recast time)

are just some examples of some armor they could create for winning races, additional random items for winning races would be desired as well, gil just isnt enough. Shit like free chocobo whistles for participating, and the armor from chocobucks and winning races.

A title system where you gained effects from titles would be cool, but SE is pretty silly and would botch it up.

Brenner/Ballista: More emphasis on TEAM gameplay, some gear obtained via PvP would be pro, more zones to actually Ballista/Brenner in - like the game could use all those empty zones for the sake of keeping it exciting. You know... places like Pso'xja, Riverne Sites, Arrapago Reef, Beaucadine Glacier, Carpenters Landing, Uleguerand Range, Lufaise Meadows.... just allow you to participate and have fun without worrying about the monsters in the area. How cool would it be to Brenner/Ballista in some dungeons where you could take advantage of the terrain for fun.

Mog Housewise: Why dont they give players a lounge for linkshell groups that people could deocrate and access your moogle from? Maybe you could even tweak the music and lighting if you saw fit... just something to give your linkshell to do for some fun. Sackholders would have the ability to access and override linkpearl decorations (they'd go back to whoever layed them out) and you could even have a place to keep all your linkshells possessions, granted access to that would require knowing a password of some sorts to touch any of it... just an option of sorts, you could keep crap in there for all your linkshell cares.

    - Grips? I always thought Hydra should have been the poster child for R/EX grips:
    - Pyric Grip: STR+3/INT+3/CHR+3 att+5 added effect: fire (100%)
    - Polar Grip: DEX+3/MND+3/VIT+3 att+5 added effect: ice (100%)
those could be common drops, 2-3 per kill perhaps along with what he drops currently..

the far rarer grip could be like:
-Serpentine Grip: Occasional Double Attacks (good proc chance, doesnt stack with current 2H multi-hit weapons)

just some ideas to get some love outta the NMs that no one gives a fuck about... i mean, i can pull these ideas outta my head - why cant SE?

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

I had an epiphany as i was about to go to sleep last night. Introduce levelable jug pets similiar to how there is Fellows with Signal Pearl. Add the jugs to Pankration as rewards/buyables, have certain mobs drop mats to make them at a NPC, or a special camera to "soul" collect like the normal Pankration cameras but only specific mobs could be captured(only charmables or jug pet). Allow customization similiar to Pankration as well. In no way would this OP bst imo, but would make a handy addition and another option over CConry nonsense.

Or just increase the mob level cap and allow BSTs to summon their Pokemon in the field. It's not a new idea.

When I read this I imagined a party vs. party pvp battle in pso'xja. A Blm from the other team is up on a ledge nuking, so a Thf flees up to him and (lol here) shadowbinds him. Then the rest of the team come up and rape the Blm to death, or draw out the rest of the Blms team to defend him. Pvp in ffxi could be good if its strongly based on group dynamics, and not some stupid sports bullshit.

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

from my own personal experience i think shoulder tackle is the worst WS. ive used it and seen a message saying stun wore off before the damage appeared in the log. meanwhile with drg i can leg sweep disengage spin around to the mobs back then SA jump. WTF?

my solution is to make ever job broken. why does every new ability have to have some kind of weakness?

One Inch Punch. One. Inch. Punch.

Shoulder Tackle might not be the best, but it fucking stuns and more reliably than you're saying.
OIP is the most useless H2H WS, there is absolutely no question there.

They should tweak it to ignore defense or something. And I mean actually ignore it, so it does the same damage on Aspido in his shell as Boreal Hound.

The amount ignored @300% TP should be like 90-100% so it could live up to it's name.

Even more bad ass watching him do it without the windup that a lot of people put in there.

Putting your fingers on the target, then jerking back three or four inches and hitting it =/= a true one inch punch.

Short distance power generation, yeah, but it's not about the wind up you see in a lot of punches, it's the follow through.

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

    Shameless self-Bump.

As we sort through the changes, we can determine what is still needed, and what things are taken care of. Scholar was greatly buffed, and arguably is only missing stoneskin and blink, but it seems fine for now so I've removed it. WHM was trimmed, mainly to try and get some aoe status cures more than once every 10 minutes, since SCH can now do that once a minute. Considering removing BLM, as MP issues can be solved by subbing SCH, but most don't like the lack of stoneskin and blink.

Take another look over the first post list, and then suggest where we should go from here. Talking with people ingame and on other forums, we're going to try and aim for a delivery the 2nd week of April.

Trying to keep things limited, to the jobs which really need adjustments.

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

Here's what I'd like to see for BST: Some sort of ability to share TP between the BST and the pet. For example, it could average out the TP of the BST and the pet on a five minute timer. Since pets rarely put their TP to good use, I'd like to just take it and use it myself. If it only works on jugs, that's fine with me.

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

I don't see what SE see as over powered by giving bsts the ability to choose what ws the pet use, and the ability to use sic more often as they already gotta gain tp (other than mobs like mind gazers, but it's not like they don't use spells often either). But wanting that, and useful jugs/level caps is probably asking too much.

If anything, BLM has more problems now that SCH has pretty much all of our spells and can use them more efficiently. The March update was probably the biggest insult to BLM yet. In EXP pts, the MP issues are still not solved by subbing SCH, and it just leaves you with no defenses at all, while SCH/RDM gets all the same spells, better JAs, and defensive spells. In endgame, MP has never been an issue for BLM at all. Hate is an issue, and /SCH just adds more hate while taking away all defense.

We need Aspir II and some job abilities to boost damage and MP conservation. Maybe lower the MP cost of AM2 since tier 4 spells aren't ours anymore.

BLM hasn't gotten a single adjustment since 2003, unless you count the cumulative magic resistance nerf, or the merits/equipment that every single job got.

    Re: Opinions for Job Adjustments

The dmg power of a SCH fails very much so in comparison of a blm. In its raw form, a SCH using a tier IV spell on a VT mob hits around 900 with Thunder IV. A BLM would laugh at that anyday.

A SCH can stack its abilities but is still limited to a 1 min charge. Once all charges are used up a SCH can only nuke as strong as a RDM.
Also no stun really hurts in some fight.

If you want lower AMII cost sub /sch and use the 50% mp cost ability every 2 mins. That'll save ya a ton of MP.
On fights like Kirin or JoL where you arnt pulling hate anyways or need def just spam the fuck out of it.

Shiet is situational just make use of it.
