Is there a noticeable difference using the cables on an HD vs the normal cables?
And is it worth the money to buy them?

yes.
Stuff can look very good with component. We had my friends hooked up to a 42" lcd hdtv and stuff looked pretty good (I distinctly remember GH3 before and after(he put it in like some HD mode or something when he used the component cables) and the difference was very noticeable.
All boils down to if you're one of those ppl that are anal about how good stuff looks, in my case, I'd definatley get them.
Yes, Yes, and Hell Yes. Even if it is lolWii.

yeah the markup on audio/video cables are crazy. All Monster products are "lol" . $100 for a 6ft HDMI cable? I got mine for free, was $10 at buy.com and -$10 with Google Check-Out...
Buy all your cables from monoprice![]()
I've always been sceptical about these kinds of cables. My 360 came with component cables I think, the Green/Blue/Red right? I plug them in component on my TV but the picture doesn't seem that different than the default inputs. Maybe it depends on the TV or something..?
It can yes, but it'll always end up being better.Originally Posted by Maguspk
its only gonna make a real diff if you have a high def progressive scan tv.
Dunno what kinda TV you got but you have to change the settings in Xbox360 dashboard setup.Originally Posted by Maguspk
On the standard xbox360 cable (at least the one I have) there is a switch for HD/SD on the side that connects to the 360, you will have to change it to HD and then go into dashboard and select 480P/720P/1080P depending on what kind of TV yours is.
