Patriots vs Giants
Plain and simple. They did it once when all the pressure was on for the 16-0. Now they are gonna do it again for the undefeated season.

Pats.
Like anyone the NFC sent had a chance to begin with.
Giants.
This is like asking whether a bear would beat a chihuahua in a deathmatch.
Pats.
Gonna take the Giants. They came pretty close to beating them this year. Apply the same game plan and see it through.
Pats.
La li lu le lo.
Wouldn't it be something if all the Patriots have been dead for years...
WOULDN'T IT?!

Honestly, I don't even think we would be having this debate if the San Diego offense wasn't looking like the poster children for the para olympics with how battered they were. A healthy Gates, Rivers, and Tomlinson would have squeaked that win out today.

Defense wins championships. The Giants finally have a secondary that didnt give up the long ball. Of course i'm going giants and I think it'll be a close one.
Pats.
Man the chargers were a major dissapointment today... So many simple fuck ups.
Overwhelming favorites have a pretty good record in the Super Bowl, I think only 3 teams ever that were more than a touchdown underdog have ever outright won (although a few have beat the spread). Giants will probably be getting at least 7 no?
The only Super Bowl I've personally seen where the team no one gave a chance to win ended up winning was...the Patriots.
Sure the Giants might have a chance, but I'll take the Patriots. If the spread is more than 9 though I'd wager the Giants!
From the Fox postgame show they said the spread is 14 points.
Actually I thought there were a lot straight up winners recently when one of the teams is a heavy favorite...
Edit: I was thinking Denver over Green Bay, NE over St Louis, and Tampa Bay over Oakland - but turns out Tampa Bay wasn't really a heavy underdog.
Spread will probably be abour 10.5. I'd take the Pats, seeing as they haven't covered in like the last 6 games...they're due.Originally Posted by Mertron

Did the research, not according to this

14 point underdog is pretty severe. Only 3 outright winners with spreads that high: Joe Namath, Hank Stram, and the Patriots.
Obviously the gambling lines aren't the only thing you would base your pick on, but face it, if you're picking the Giants then you are probably talking yourself into it. I'd take the 14 points though.
Edit: oops 4, John Elway. I don't remember them being such underdogs >.>
I thought it would be a decent match until I saw the game against green bay today. It was the sloppiest game I have seen in a long while. Definitely will not stand a chance against a team that plays nearly flawlessly.
Pretty sure Pats'll win it, but will not be disappointed if Giants pull it out.
3 picks by brady is flawlessly? Honestly, if the Giants score at least 30 points against the Pat's, I don't see the Pat's winning. Right now I see NY with all the Momentum. NE has to deal with the fact now that a loss will negate everything they just did. If NY loses, they'll get the it was expected as they wern't even supposed to be here. Barring any sort of catastrophe by either team in practice (i.e. manning or brady tearing an acl or something), i'm going to say NY by 3.Originally Posted by sephir
