I'm going on 15 months trying to get the damned Diabolic Silk from Temenos for my own AF+1 hat;; Twice-a-week runs and have only missed maybe a half-dozen. Q_Q <3 Temenos East runs with 5x DRK dropping.

Lol, some of these people are awesome, other i can kinda understand, me being me i kinda refuse to lvl without the essential things, i am glad i made it to where i am now with what gear i have, i been waiting for someone to take a shot on me,

but with other pics i have seen here, some, NOT ALL but some people, may have gotten lucky and got some decent gear, i got lucky and got a p charm and still rockin out my af body for mnk lol, never got a sh til like, 70, ya, i was broke ; ; then said f it and when to p body,

Nope they were meteor cesti and yes it was an Unyielding ring and the other ring was Garrulous ring +3 to 4 stats?! how can you turn that down?

i focus my mnk on str/att most of everything, think my charm and o hat are the only things left i have to ACC O_O

Stayed in the pt till I dinged 73, on the verge of passing out, and went to bed. Was actually pretty decentish, SAM dc'd and got replaced by a RNG. THF leader (Ezrul) wasn't that badly geared, but of course didn't swap anything. Good ol' fulltime AF pants and drone earrings.
At least now I can leech meripo pt's without feeling bad. \o/

RDM 48, San d'Orian Tunic, eremite, saintly, bastokan subligar, battle gloves, level 18 club, level 1 shield that drops from quadav, only one earring. Had to be told constantly to dispel, refreshed the PLD only every third round (which included a BLU, SCH and the RDM). It was bad.

WHM, probably 75, wearing Onyx earring, Tranquility ring, level 50 WHM latent ring, no strap, errant legs, zmitts... eh it was gross.

Town gear doesn't count. If I'm teleporting or on errands on WHM I will throw on whatever- including zmitts and errant slops, doesn't mean I wear it when doing anything that matters, it just covers the naked.

Your gear's really nice, except why Darksteel Scythe at 72? I understand you have Perdu Sickle at 73, but the Darksteel Scythe isn't even good at 65 really, you just don't have a choice =/ Havoc Scythe, even lolMartial Scythe would be better <_<; not a big deal, just struck me as odd given how good the rest of your gear is. I much prefer Pole Strap to Claymore Grip too, but that's probably just me.

It's sad how, looking through these threads, that SAM seems to be "okay"... <_<

Most of my gear carries over from WAR NIN or THF (and the pcharm's a loaner, use RG usually, quite lol indeed). Darksteel was suggested to me to be better as Vassago's, and I needed some cash, so I didn't argue. :3
Didn't think of buying martial, dinged 72 day before yesterday (sludging through the mire in another slow pt all night), and did entire 72-73 in this particular party. I'd have loved to get Havoc, but I was stretched a bit financially. Had spent a lot trying to get cursed subligar HQ'd, coupled with a friend coming back who needed gear back (that I'd sold since he seemed quite intent on the quitting to be permanent).
Claymore over Pole was same thing, but your mentioning it made me check ffxiah, can easily afford one now. Can finally stop hobo'ing it up, thanks. ;p

I'm beginning to see why the general, ignorant populace hates blue mages, or think that the job sucks:

Side note: I don't *care* if it's a halfway decent weapon, stop fucking breaking your latent weapons in exp parties, especially ones that don't SC on purpose. I saw a WAR doing the same thing in an earlier party. Eugh. Oh, and I'm sorry, MP blue mages are fail. If your gear happens to have MP+ on it (Like the turban or slops) then by all means, but there's no reason to wear an antivenom in exp when you A) have a RDM, B) have sanction refresh, and C) have auto refresh. The AF helm is pretty lol unless he's casting magic fruit for the MND or using dragon-family spells on imps.

And another offhanded Martial Anelace FTW.
