Full time I understand entirely, and I will not defend the rest of his gear at all. I remember people making fun of Unc for using those legs in his WS macro, but why? The mods on Catastrophe are INT40, AGI40, and Elvaan lack both to a noticeable degree.

More or less, I'm just asking why those legs are such a bad deal for a relic scythe DRK?

That's not Apocalypse. I thought the only reason people used Catastrophe was to get the haste effect. If Jet Seraweels are a decent piece for it, at least somebody's found a use for them.

Something people overlook. Unless the WS for some reason has a negative mod for Str, fStr still counts as what, nearly a 30% WS mod for anything?

5 Str from Onyx, 6 Str from Are's at 30% vs 7 Int at 40%... (Hmmm.)

Max, in fairness, that's still a higher %mod and more int in that slot compared to the two items you listed.

Yeah, but you're going to have more Str than Int generally.

It's like me as a taru war for Steel Cyclone, I use Kabuto right now, but if I got Nhead, the Kabuto would be relegated to War/Dnc curing macros.

71 base Str +11 Str @ 50% mod (before fStr/Attack bonuses)
63 base Vit +15 Vit @ 50% mod only

That's the thing to remember about WS mods, Str basically counts twice before even being factored as a WS mod itself directly. fStr+Attack+WS Mods.

I'd use Kabuto over anything with less than 5 Str, or in the case of Askar head, 4 Str and 4 Vit.

With the Int mod, I'd guess you'd need something like 10+ Int in the slot to outweigh the benefits of 5 Str by itself. Nevermind having gobs of attack on Onyx, or the +DA on Are's.

Its not like he JUST got it or something. He's had it a while and either way, showing something off is not an excuse to be gimp. If I had a Maat's cap, which I don't even want, I'd wear it in town, not give up 5% haste to melee in it.
