Well some ppl totally cash out for a Salvage body. Could asume he just needed PLD buffer in besieged but using Ares for DRK or something usually. To get Ares our Aegis PLD gimped down his war to AF1lolfeet level for a while, too.

INT rings? Warrior sub? No gear at all? At least the earrings were MP ones, but jeez ... good thing I was fully prepared to heal people on SMN.

This is one of the few instances where I was glad a PL was on the way. lawlz.

When I politely suggested that he might have a bit higher MP pool with a BLM or even RDM sub, he said, "I know, I just don't have either of them leveled." /facepalm. I don't expect you to be 1337 in the Dunes but Jesus Christ, at least put some clothes on. Even your level 1 RSE has some DEF to it.

This thread is about people being gimp, right? Well you can be gimp at all levels, not just at endgame.

I've leveled so many jobs with only weapon from Lv1-30 lol.

Edit: but yeah, mages job could use correct subs and Astral rings or something.

Not every slot, there are some things you can't fill at that level, but wearing clothes is kinda nice. I mean I know half the game population is a buncha fucking pervs but really, in this case, clothing > nudity.

Like I said I don't expect you to have everything, or HQ everything even, but gawd coming naked to xp is a bit much. And if a person puts such little effort into their gear at this level do you honestly think they'll get better as they progress throughout the game? You wouldn't allow this shit at your level 40 camp, why should I allow it at my level 15 camp? Might as well stop people from being totally gimp early.

Again, not being elitist here (though I really could lol) just think it's not too much to expect someone to wear clothes at least to xp. If this was the main tank all of you would have agreed he's fucking gimp, just because he's a mage it's ok? When he gets crit hitted from pulling too much hate the def he might have had from whatever gear he might have been wearing might have saved his ass.

I know the dunes isn't a paragon of virtue or anything but come on. You can't tell me this guy isn't gimp.

There's a bunch of good stuff to use, if you're a packrat and keep a lot of low-level equipment on a mule or keep all your r/ex festival junk.. On my lv10 Scholar I'm using Coven Hat, Cobra Unit Tunica, Fortune Egg, Silver Mog Belt, a Cape, Astral & Saintly Rings, Justice Badge, some lv1 fishing gear to fill the blanks and a Legionnaire's Staff. It doesn't look pretty but it does the job.

My guess on this guy is he's REALLY new, has no attic gear and has almost no money to buy even basic stuff.

Tank is the only one who should be expected to have good gear, melee should have their best weapon as possible, and mages, lol, id rather go naked (which I do) than to waste gil on an extra 4mp or 2 int or mnd.

My PUP atm is event gear with some RSE (lvl 30 atm) and the best H2H available. No one gives a crap about low end jobs. Maybe at lvl 40 people should start caring though.

If someone isn't equiped than the only time I won't kick them is if no one else is seeking. Otherwise, get your xp from someone else =P
