Thats not really too bad, not a huge choice of katanas and at that level and most of them are expensive bcnm or nm drops, Yoto is accepatble until 61.

This is the aegisdins co-tank... /nin at least, 4/5 adaman, koenig hands, fortified chain, fowling earring/spike earring, martial bow, joyeuse. gg guys, gg.

so thats what i've been doing wrong all this time.... i've kept my jobs properly geared! so if i toss all my good gear, i too can con a ls into getting me a relic!

I guess I'm failing to see how a blue box STR ring SAM with EVA+ equips is "fine"...
There's nothing wrong with blue box if you're just trying to show off gil. It just doesn't seem like it in this picture. My point is, if he can afford blue box STR ring, he can get a fucking Venerer to replace his DEX ring. <.< STR I guess is passable for now.

But he's definitely not as gimp as the DRG. Perhaps more of a "confused"?

Outside of empress hairpin i don't think theres any head gear at that level which grants a bonus bigger than +1 to an attribute so i don't know how you can complain over that headband.

I say people shouldnt be too critical of equips at low lvl, not much of certain equips to make a difference anyway = (. When past lvl 40, then there will be significant difference when the acc comes into play.

I wasn't 41 yet.
And I don't have one. <.< Stopped leveling MNK until I can get as good gear as possible, it was just hard to pass up 11k/hr LS exp parties after being in parties like that where I barely got 3k/hr... And the funny part is, all but 2 of the LS members I partied with were pretty damn gimp too. Lol. We just seemed to know what we were doing. :/

My only point was, he's going for an EVA+ build on SAM, and he's spending money in places where it doesn't need to be spent. >.> Most likely he'll continue doing that until he hits 75. What's wrong with catching gimps early?
But look at the DRG too, that post wasn't all about the SAM.

Maybe the difference between 2 DEX and 3 acc on a two handed weapon is completely negligble
Maybe he's just going to wait out until sniper/woodsman at 40
Maybe it's level god damn 38, who cares
